WHEN THEY WERE YOUNG, THEIR PARENTS LEFT THEM. Lincoln swore that day that he would do everything in his power to protect his younger siblings.
They were put into a foster home, then one day a man named Charlie Swan came in and adopted them.
This was two years after Rene left with Bella.
He heard about the Martinez siblings and now they were living in a house where they could call home.

"I'll cook today Luna!" Lucas yelled at his twin, Lincoln groaned and roll over to his left side. Lincoln was starting his senior year in night school and the twins were starting their junior year.
"Only one more year." Lincoln told himself, "ill cook!" Luna shouted from her bedroom, "nah, I got it. You're a horrible cook!" He yelled back. Lincoln could hear his sister ran down stairs angrily. She appeared in the kitchen with her hands on her hips.
Lincoln got up, wanting to watch the twins fight. Lincoln sat down on one of the small chairs. "What did you say?" Luna asked her twin. "Nothing" he mumbled and continued on making pancakes.
"Oh, I thought I heard something" she said, standing beside him "did you now?"he asked her sarcastically. "Mhm, you said that Im a horrible cook" she told him and Lucas laughed, Lincoln did as well.
Charlie walked into the room, rubbing his eyes, he was working late on a case. "Your like Charles you can't cook" Lucas said, Charlie looked at the twins, chuckling.
"That is very true, I do suck at cooking" Charlie admitted.
Lucas grinned at his sister who was stomping to her room. "I'm getting changed!" she yelled and slammed the door.
Lucas turned around, "did I say something?" he asked them, Charlie and Lincoln laughed at the older twin.
"Bella is coming to stay with us" he told the Martinez boys. Lincoln face lit up, "really?" He asked Charles. Charlie nodded his head, "yea, and for awhile" he told them.
Lincoln loved Bella she was always like his second sister, Bella was kind but awkward, like Charlie but Lincoln always loved that about her. If you wanted to sit in silence, she would because she probably couldn't think of anything to say.
Lincoln visited Bella in the summer, the twins did as well, but Lincoln saw her more. Something just clicked in him, he had to protect Bella from everything. Boyfriends, even though she didn't have any and of course Jacob Black, Lincoln never liked the boy. Maybe because he was trying too hard for Bella to notice him.
"I have nothing to wear!" they could hear all Luna scream. The boys laughed at the only girl, but that was going to change and soon.
Lincoln and Lucas were living in the basement, when it was the weekend and Charlie had it off, Lincoln would help him make up the basement.
"Luna! It's almost time to go!" Lincoln yelled at his sister. This was the last time first time that he was back to Forks High School. Ever.
"I'm coming!" she yelled and ran down the stairs with her bag on her shoulders and a coat that was on her right arm, the boys looked at her strangely. "It's cold outside" Lucas said "how can you not put on your coat?" He asked her.
"I'm not too cold, not today" she said, "bye Charlie!" she walked over to her father figure and kissed him on the cheek. "Bye, Charlie"

The siblings went to the office and picked up their locker numbers and schedules. "Thank you" Lincoln mumbled to the office lady.
He turned to his siblings who were already fighting, he groaned realising that they were going to do this all day.
"Hello" he heard a voice from behind him, he turned around to see a very beautiful family. "Hello" he said and looked at the twins.
"Sorry about the twins" he said and then smiled "I'm Lincoln Martinez and you are?" Lincoln asked the pixie like girl "Alice Cullen."
She grinned at him. "No problem, can you help us find our classes?" She asked him and he nodded his head.
"Sure" he said, "are you all juniors or?" He asked them awkwardly, "Rose and Emmett aren't" Alice pointed to Emmet who was behind her and Rose was glued to his side.
"Luna! Lucas!" He yelled at the two, the turned to him. "Help Alice and her family get to their classes, and if I hear that you fought on the way over god help you both" he said and smiled at Edward, Jasper and Alice.
"You two are?" He asked them. "This is Jasper and that is Edward" Alice said and stood next to Luna.
"You are my new best friend" she said and took her arm dragging her away. Jasper followed after his mate.
And Edward went with Lucas who was talking to him about music.
Lincoln smiled at Emmett and Rose, "come with me" he said, talking Roses schedule then Emmett's. "You's have both English and math with me and then lunch, I'll walk you to your first class" he told them.
Rose smiled at him and interlinked their hands, Lincoln looked back a them and smiled. "How long as you together for?" He asked them, Emmett smirked, and Rose glared at him.
"Two years" she told him but she new that they were together for longer. Lincoln nodded his head and continued walking on. He showed them their first class and then he went to his.

Lunch came around, the Martinez and the Hales/Cullen's sat together. "So how long have you been in Forks?" Edward asked them, the twins looked at Lincoln.
He sighed, "twelve years but I'm not sure, we think that we lived somewhere else" he told them, they all raised their eyebrows.
"Mom and dad left us here when we were kids. We're living with Charlie Swan" he said and they nodded.
"Do you have any other siblings?" Rose asked him, Lucas looked at his brother and twin. "We don't know" he said "but there's Bella, Charlie's daughter. She's coming home soon" he said happily.
The bell rang and it was last two, Alice left everyone's numbers and told them to call soon.

When they got home the twins were fighting about food, again.
"I can cook!" Luna said.
"No you won't."
"Oh, I will"
I-"
"If you finish that god damn sentence I swear you will both be grounded, I'll feel more like your father rather then your brother. And I'll make dinner."
Everything was quite after that. Not a sound.
