Im basing this chapter after a show(THat i LOVE) Called The Catch

"Ok L/n dont be late this time."

"I won't sir!"

"Alright."

I hung up as i made my way to the art museum.

"Beautiful painting right?"

The woman said to the man on the right of her.

"Is this her only piece in the collection?"

" Maria Kreyn? There is another piece, but it arrived too late for the opening."

"A recent work?"

"No, more like loan from a private collection. I think it's my favorite of hers."

"Now you're just tormenting me." The man laughed

"Would you like to see it?"

"She seems so sad to me."

"That's because she's in love."

"Why is that sad?" The man questioned

"Because it never lasts."

"He doesn't seem to have any doubts."

"He's not showing you his eyes."

"But just because it doesn't last doesn't mean it isn't love." The woman sighed

"We should head back." They exited out of the back room making their way to the main room.

"May I get you a drink?"

"I'm supposed to be working."

"Ok then what about after work?"

" Come find me." she sent him a wink and he was on his way

"Evening, sir.May I check your coat?"

"Unh! Ugh!"

"Private investigator." I whipped out my badge shoving it in his face

"Then you can't arrest me."

"Yeah your right, I like to let them do that. For me this is the fun part."

They took the man away in hand cuffs.

Man do I love my job.

"Morning Amanda!"

"Morning Y/n."

"Did Martzia come in yet?"

"Yes. I tried to stop her."

"Amanda."

"I told her we don't have time for this, but, "A," she doesn't listen, and, "B," she especially doesn't listen to me."

I didn't reply instead I began to speed walk to my office.

"Dear God. Did she see me? Just keep walking."

"You're here."

"AH.Haha Erm Martzia. Hi."

"You're just in time! More cake."

"So much cake. You're getting married. I had no idea. Why didn't you say anything?"

"At this point in my life, I think marriage is best done gently, with self-respect and lots of cake."

I hugged my short friend.

"You asked me to do this and I appreciate that."

"Now you need to get in here and pick out a wedding cake, or I'm gonna pick one out for you, and it'll be carrot."
