*Devin's POV*
I pushed Mikeal slightly after what he said.
"She's my best friend man." I said as I shook my head. "Not that she's ugly or..like I don't like her..cause I..I mean she's..." Mikeal began to laugh as I stopped mid-sentence.
"Yeah, and I'm obsessed" he said sarcastically.
"You look at Cynthia like a dog looks at meat, adoringly." I rebutted.
"Have you seen her ass?" He said dramatically. "How is it real?" I laughed at his stupidity.
"C'mon man, she's a girl not a steak."
"Then again, I like steak, and I like her." He laughed at his own joke. "Is there a difference? Cause I see none." He replied.
"Dude!" I said as I got up to throw away my tray. "Can you grab my hat for me?"
"Yeah, as I was saying. Cynthia, she's gorgeous. Do you think I have a chance? What if I do something cute? Girls like cute, right? Im cute, right?" He began to second guess himself.
"Dude, dude, dude, calm down. Just ask her out. The school dance is this Wednesday; See if she's going."
"I guess your right." He said nervously laughing.
We walked back to the other side of the cafeteria, where our bags were. "You know, I was nervous to ask out my last girlfriend. Then again bad example we only lasted like 3 days". He sighed and shook his head at me. "Sorry?" It came out as more of a question.
Really man?
