Kahleyse's POV
I still don't know why Destiney and Mikeal are not a couple yet. I mean, they're best friends, they obviously have feelings for each other...if you take Cynthia out of the picture. I don't blame him for liking her, se's pretty, smart, and talented. But he doesn't know anything about her! He knows about every last thing about destiney, her birthday, where she lives, her per peeves, EVERYTHING!
"Kahleyse? Number 3?" I was interrupted by my teacher. He raised his eyebrow at me.
"Uh..number 3? I got C." I said even though I was unsure.
"That's wrong, it's actually....?" He looked around the room for someone to give the right answer.
Destiney raised her hand."Is it A?"
"That's correct. Now I would like for all of you to hand back in your answer sheets the bell is going to ring in about ... Now"
The bell rung right in cue. I stuffed my pencil into the front pocket of my book bag and placed my answer sheet onto the desk in the back of the room, and walked to Crystal's desk. I looked around for Destiney as she put her stuff away and stood up.
"What do we have next?" I asked, I still don't know the class schedule.
"Lunch" she replied. I mentally groaned. I don't want to even move.
Destiney walked over toward us. "Are you guys going to dance?" They both nodded.
"Then I might as well go too."
We made our way through the overly crowded hallways to the down staircase. My school has a name for staircases its weird. Even though no one ever follows the rules. Everyone goes up the down stairs at least twice a day. I spot Mikeal out of the corner of my eye. I nudged Crystal so it went unnoticed by Destiney, and pointed toward him. We both giggled which made Destiney look at us confusedly. I just shook my head and waves my hand in the air as a way to say forget it. She rolled her eyes and continued to walk. Once we got to the auditorium aka the dance room we threw out book bags in the chairs of the first row and slipped our shoes off. Except for crystal she had on boots and took a few extra seconds to zip each of then down. I laughed at her already on the stage stretching. I got up and went to inside the actual dance room to find Mikeal and his friend Devin talking to Ms.B, the dance teacher. Why aren't they at lunch? With their FRIENDS. I waved at them and Mikeal smiled back. I walked back out to tell Crystal but she was already in the zone trying to accomplish her right split.
"Mikeal's in the back, wanna see if we can make him and Destiney go somewhere together?" She nodded with a mischievous look on her face.
"Hey Mikeal!" He poked his head out the door." Can you go grab..." I stopped to count the people here not including myself." 4 chocolate milks and 2 little things of applesauce. He nodded. "Destiney go put your shoes back on and help him." She raised her eyebrow. "Thats a lot of milk and not enough Mikeal, just go." Crystal and I smirked as they walked up the aisle of the auditorium together. We laughed once they were out the door, the lunchroom was just down the hall. A few minutes later they came back with exactly what I ordered, but Mikeal was holding everything. "I thought I asked you to help!" I shouted because they were kind of far away. She shrugged and laughed. Mikeal rolled his eyes at her.
"What is this? The husband holding the bag as the wife spends all his money?" Crystal commented. This made us all burst in laughter as Mikeal and Destiney looked at each other blushing. "I take that as a yes." Crystal said.
"Let's just practice the dance." Destiney quickly changed the subject.
She definitely had feelings.
