I was a jittery mess when I finally found Janice and my other friends.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" She asked. "Too many drinks?"
"No, no. Listen Jan, I'm sorry but I think I'm going to have to go home early, yeah? I have to get up early for work and-"
"Holy shit, Alice, what is on your neck?" Shay interrupted. All the girls leaned in and gasped when they caught sight of the mark. Great. Now I bet they're all slut shaming me. That's just what I need right now.
"No idea how that got there. Strange. Anyways, I'll call you in the morning, okay? We need to talk," I said. This was uncomfortable. None of them could take their eyes off of what I assumed was an impressive mark, and all I got from Jan was a slight head nod. I slowly backed away from their prying eyes, turned, and pushed my way towards the door. I sighed and shook my head. I haven't had a drink in about an hour, I'm fine to drive home, right? I thought to myself, and walked to my car. As I struggled to get my keys out of the freakishly tiny clutch, I heard footsteps behind me. I turned around. Nothing. I shrugged and kept struggling. What the heck were these stuck on? My freaking pepper spray? I asked myself and sighed in relief when I finally released them from the confines of this miniature torture device. But, just as I was inserting the key into the lock, an arm wrapped around my waist, and a cloth covered my face.
"Shh. Shh. Shh. It's okay. Just breathe. Everything is going to be alright." A voice soothed as I struggled and kicked out. I held my breath for as long as I could, but eventually ran out of air. Where's the pepper spray when you need it?

The darkness surrounded me. I could hear it. Taste it, even. It was everywhere. I couldn't escape it. It was consuming me. I was lost in my own thoughts. Drowning. I don't know how long I've been here, or who it was that took me. All I know is that I'm starving. Thirsty. It couldn't have been more than three days. Three minutes without air, three hours without shelter, three days without water, and three weeks without food. That's the golden rule. Funny, the things you remember when you're dying. Absolutely hilarious.

I heard a door open somewhere to my left. I stayed silent and still, hoping that the person was just checking on me. Please don't let it be the person who took me.
"Why hasn't she woken up?" A deep voice asked, and another shushed it.
"You put enough on the rag to put out an army sir. No offence."
"Oh, make yourself useful and clean a table or something. Get out of my sight." The voice commanded, and I heard footsteps disappear down the hall. Then shuffling to my left. Oh no, he's coming closer, I thought, and the noise stopped. All was silent. Then a hand touched my cheek. I jumped a bit in shock and the hand quickly moved away. A low chuckle was heard from above me, more shuffling, and the door slammed shut.
I slowly opened one eye, then the other, meeting with the familiar darkness. I sighed in relief. He left. Thank goodness.
"So you are awake?" The voice asked, and I let out a loud gasp.
"Please, I'll give you money, anything! Just please let me go home!" I pleaded and he chuckled again.
"Trust me, I have more money than I know what to do with. I don't need any of yours." He said and I tried to locate around where his face would be. Just keep him talking.
"Then why am I here?" I asked and he sighed.
"It's really difficult to explain really. Maybe if you're good, I'll tell-"
He was interrupted by my foot diving towards what I assumed was his stomach, and I bolted towards the direction of the door.
"You little piece of-" I heard from behind me, as I got the door open and ran for my life.
"JACOB! JACOB! CATCH HER, GRAB HER! DO WHATEVER IT TAKES, AND DON'T LET HER GET AWAY!" He shouted, and I ran faster then I thought possible towards the staircase.
As I started down the stairs, I noticed someone running up towards me. Shoot. I turned around, only to see the man that was staring in the bar, running in our direction. I'm stuck. No, no, no, this can't be happening! I thought and tried to think of the best way out. Run down, and have to barrel into an unknown figure, then outrun my green eyed captor, or run towards him, take him by surprise, get past him, then outrun the short, fat guy running up the stairs. That's a no-brainer.
I turned and ran back up the few stairs I had made it down, and back towards Mr. Green Eyes. He looked shocked for a minute, then a determined look crossed over his face. This was a terrible idea.
'FOR NARNIA," I shouted to throw him off a bit. It seemed to work when he paused and looked at me weird. You gotta do what you gotta do man. As we seemingly met up in the middle, I quickly skirted right, hit the wall, and he went running by me. I cackled evilly and ran down the hallway. I heard a loud growl from down the hall and started running faster. "DOWN BOY," I shouted back and laughed to myself. Goodness I'm hilarious.
"IF YOU DON'T STOP NOW," a voice panted from behind me, "I'LL MAKE YOUR PUNISHMENT WORSE!" Thank God for running cross country.
"NEVER," I shouted right before running into a wall. A very... warm... wall? I gasped and looked up at the mountain of a man right as two hands pulled my arms behind my back. "Quick question y'all," I said, and they both looked at me weird.. Yeah whatever I have a slight country twang. Deal with it.
"What?" The grumpy and out of breath man mumbled from behind me.
"Technically, since I kinda stopped when you asked me to, does that mean a lesser punishment? Or like naw cause I mean the technicalities and all would mean so, but you don't seem too be in the greatest mood to be giving out free 'Not so terrible punishments' you know?" I said in one breath. It was silent. This is awkward. "So I'm going to go ahead and say that's a no, correct?" I asked and Mr. Grumpy pants grunted before pushing me back towards the room that I ran out of. "No, wait no please! I'll do anything! Just please don't put me back in there! I'm scared of the dark and the creepy crawlies and the monsters that could very likely be hiding under the-"
"Please just shut up," he groaned and I realized that we had stopped moving. Thank goodness. I really didn't want to go back in there. "Back on subject... You'd do anything?" He asked and I frantically nodded my head. He thought for a moment before his eyes lit up. "Jacob," he said to the man whom had just shown up, struggling and out of breath. Honey where have you been? Still trying to catch up? My two year old cousin can run faster than that. "Get my bedchambers ready. I'll be having a very special guest tonight," he said while making eye contact with me. Awe shooters... This is not going to go well.
Hey guys I'm back!! And leaving again... Love you! XOX~Sapphire
