The singing Tree (Walk Two Moons sequel)

The desert

We were in a rainforest then we walked and now we're in a desert. I don't know where my brother is taking me but I know it won't be could. We haven't talked once after the incident, I guess we both know that it's not worth it.  We have been walking for three days since we picked up Autumn. I miss home and I don't want to be in this and I don't think Sam wants me to either, but it's life we go with the things we get right? Well what am I to say not much happened yet. I was wrong again if you haven't seen a lot has happened in the past week don't you think. What else could happen though, I was wrong about that too. After about an hour of walking we ran into another "amazing"  creature. A GIANT SNAKE! I know what your thinking oh well that's fake ITS NOT !! Just believe me for once. This time Sam took the job it seemed like he learned a little from me. He closed his eyes and swung. I looked around and saw a venomous tail. Another swing and a head landed a few feet away from me WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN!!!!!!!!!! Sam began walking back looking at his hands. I ran to him" Its ok Sam your fine your fine" I said it in the most soothing voice I could. He looked up and stared at me then hugged me" I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry" he just kept repeating himself." It's ok Sam we're fine"  I said. He looked up again with eyes that said' Thank You' I knew I did the right thing and I was happy for the first time in what feels like forever.
