"We are meeting my manager later. He called and demanded that I present you to him." I heard Dan said from the door.

After a few minutes of looking at Dan's book earlier at the table, I got bored and borrowed his laptop and started doing my own homework. We stayed like that for two hours before I finished my paper. Dan is still not finished studying so I just played some online game on his laptop while he continues reading.

We haven't really talked for that length of time and surprisingly, it was a very comfortable silence. I am actually amazed at how serious he is with his readings. After a few games, I have gotten hungry. Dan called in room service for a snack and told me to wait for another half an hour and he will take me out for lunch. I just happily agreed and went to the bedroom to play some more game while I eat my fruits. Hey don't judge me. It has been a long time since I had a free day.

Right now Dan is standing at the door of the bedroom looking like a fallen angel. He still wears his glasses and looks a little tired.

"I set a dinner meeting." He said.

"Manager? I thought you are a racer? Don't you call him a coach instead?" I asked curiously.

"Ah, I see you finally did some research on me." He said as a smirk starts to form on his lips and I felt a blush crept on my face.

"To answer your question, nope. My manager wants to talk to us. My coach is out of the country right now. And I do have the very least of intention into making you two meet. I don't want to share you yet." Dan winked at me as he sat up in the unmade bed. To my surprise, he started folding the blanket that I used last night. I felt embarrassed so I tried to stop him, but he just playfully spanked my hands away.

"What is the job of your manager then? Don't tell me you're an actor too." I was still shy that he is making my bed, so I picked up the pillow and started putting it in place.

"What. That didn't come up on your research?" Dan said in a teasing voice. My cheeks began burning once more. I looked down so he won't see it.

"Shut up." I said and I heard him laughed. I gritted my teeth from annoyance. This guy has been laughing at my expense from the moment we met.

I felt his hand on my chin and forced me to look at him. I raised my eyes and saw him give me his heart stopping smirk.

"I love it when you blush, Red." He whispered.

My eyes widen as he slowly leaned down and kiss my cheeks. Now I am 10000% sure that my face looks like ketchup. A tomato ketchup to be precise. Dan seems to be enjoying my reaction as his smirk became a full megawatt smile.

"And no, babe. I'm not an actor. I don't think I have the necessary talent to do such. I do modeling though." Oh that. I remember now. On my research I read that he was one of the top endorser for a high-end jean brand and a high-end perfume. I think.

"Why would your manager like to meet me then? I don't think you are the kind of person who will use another person or a situation just to be more famous. In fact I think you don't like being famous." I mumbled mindlessly.

When I realized that I just accessed him, I looked up and saw him looking at my eyes intently. Like he is seeing something that I don't know about. The look in his eyes made me feel something strange so I looked down immediately.

"What?" I barked at him.

I heard him chuckle and said "Nothing, my angel." I stopped breathing and my heart started to accelerate when I heard him said that.

What the hell? I looked at Dan and saw that he likewise looked startled too before he coughed and gave me a smile which didn't reach his eyes.

"Let us go to lunch shall we?" I think that question saved the both of us from embarrassment.

...........................................

Lunch was uneventful. Well, uneventful compared to the events yesterday.

Dan decided that it would be best if we just eat here at the hotel for our privacy. This hotel is a really high-end hotel and Dan told me they are known for the privacy they offer to their customers.

Except for the stares we received from the two guys in suit in our elevator ride, nothing really seemed unusual.

We went to the restaurant and I felt a lil out of place. The restaurant is glamorous. The chandeliers on the ceilings are most probably more expensive than my whole year salary. Most of the people eating here are wearing suits or formal wears. Only Dan and me were wearing t-shirt and jeans so we are really standing out.

I think Dan noticed that I was uncomfortable that is why he took my hand while we walked to our table. However, I think that simple gesture made us stand out more.

We arrived at our table and Dan pulled a seat for me.

"What a gentleman." I commented. "Totally different from somebody I know."

"Why, babe?" He said while sitting on his chair. "Do you miss the beast in me? You'll see him again after we eat. I need to recharge, after all." He said it with a wink.

His voice was not exactly loud but it he said it in a crystal clear manner. I unconsciously looked around if someone heard him and I felt that my cheeks burned when I saw the waiter on my side.

The poor waiter cleared his throat and gave us the menu. I am just a poor girl, and looking at this menu almost gave me heart attack. I don't know how long I spent looking at the menu when I heard Dan chuckled.

"Steak or me?" He asked me suggestively.

I felt sorry for both me and our waiter.

"I'd like a piece of steak please. It's meatier."

Oops. Now I just feel sorry for our waiter.

"Lies." Dan said as he closed his menu.

"You know I'm meatier. As well as juicier." He added.

Right. I should never engage him in this kind of talk.
