Later that day sitting in my history class, I notice a boy sitting next to me. Theres something odd about him. He's a normal kid, really funny, has lots of friends and on the baseball team. But somethings odd about the way he looks. He's sitting completely upright with his eye wide. He looks like he hasn't slept in days yet he doesn't look one bit tired. I'm not sure if it's because this class is boring or what. But I seem to be very interested in whats wrong with this kid. The bell rings and I watch him grab his stuff to put in his bag. Before he completely walks out the door I catch him. "Hey there!" I say to him while tapping his shoulder. He Turns and looks at me, still walking out of the room says, "Yes?" I'm not one to talk to people I dont really know, yet I say to him, "I never cought your name." He looks at me and gives me a look. Not a bad look, kind of a look that thinks im weird but cute. "David, you?" he says with a smirk. "Oh I'm Adelaine," i say trying to sound cool. "Cute name," he replies.  I realize I'm gonna be late to my last class and without another word I run to my locker. I feel like an idiot, I didnt even say thanks or bye to him. The rest of the day all I could think about was how tired he looked. I'm not sure why I found it so interesting, but I did. I'm not exactly good at talking to people. In fact i've been here five months now and I still don't really have friends. I Prefer to sit at home and read with my candles lit. well, I guess i don't prefer it. I just have absoluetly nothing else to do besides homework. Not having friends isn't a bad thing though. You can read all day long when you don't have to worry about maintaining a social life. Who am I kidding? It actually kinda sucks. Talking to Meg on my bed at night is about the most social life I have.
