Chapter Fifteen The Escape

Fang's Pov:

I heard the click of the bullet and smirked. Leon is mine I gloated in my head. I watched as Kain closed his eyes and pulled the trigger right next to his head. I kind of feel sorry for him. Oh well I'll get over it. I watched him in the last moments he would be alive. I spoke. "I'll enjoy his love every night for you." next thing I know.

BAM!

It went dark.

Kain's Pov:

I watched as his figure dropped to the floor, blood pouring from the bullet wound in his forehead. "No, you won't." the gun was still pointed to where he had sat, smoking slightly. There was a commotion of footsteps and I knew I had to go. I ran towards the hospital room where Leon was to see him and the strange masked slave talking. I waited. "I'm so glad you're alive." I heard Leon whisper hugging the man. My breathing stilled and I felt an unusual clench in my chest. No, he can't be his lover can he? I strained to hear more. "-not love Kain." I stopped breathing, Leon was smiling while hugging the man and the man was playing with Leon's hair. Oh god. For the first time ever, a single tear slid down my cheek. I turned around to see guards holding up guns towards me. I'll take my rage out on them.

Leon's Pov:

I waited in the room with Daniel, my heart beating so fast and painfully as I realized that might have just been my last moments with Kain. Daniel came over and sat on my bed. We just sat there and stared at each other for a while. After the gunshot went off my heart leapt into my throat. "Looks like it's over. If Fang walks through that door, I'll kill him and get you out of here." Danny whispered. I hugged him. "I'm so glad you're alive." I whisper. "But don't worry Kain will come for me." I smile brightly. He plays with my hair like He used to. "You really love him don't you?" I nod. "How can I not love Kain?" (haha scared u didn't I?). I heard fighting outside then. Danny got up and pulled me carefully into his arms where I fumbled with my hands to get a stable grip. When we made it out I saw Kain going mad. He ran his hand straight through a man's head and lick the blood off his hand after pulling it out. His eyes dyed red and a crazed lonely look on his face. I was terrified, I've never seen this before, he was going berserk. "Kain!" I shouted and jumped/fell out of Danny's arms and crawled towards him. I reached him just as he was about to bite a female guard's neck. I grabbed his leg and screamed. "KAIN PLEASE DON'T! STOP IT!" he looked at me, letting the girl go, the craziness leaving his eyes yet the loneliness still there. I wonder why? He picks me up carefully and hands me to my brother. "You can go with your lover. I free you from your slavery." With that... He walked away. What the hell? Danny shakes his head and jumps out the window and spreads his wings. "Danny, take me to his house please." he nods.

I want to get to the bottom of this.
