Chapter 1

I yawn as I slowly opened my eyes, forgetting why I set my alarm today. I search my head for a reason, them suddenly it all comes back to me. "I'm starting work at buzz feed today!!" I applied for this job around 6 months ago in Brighton, England. When I found out they wanted a face to face interview, I took the next plane here. When I was told that I was hired to work at buzz feed studios, I took all my savings, and moved here. I now live with my mad rescue cross breed Wilma, and not so many belongings. I only moved in around 2 weeks ago, so the place is still a mess.

I pull myself out of bed, and quickly got into the shower( singing loudly I may add). Once I was done, I pulled on some ripped mum jeans, a black and white striped flowey blouse, and but my hair in a messy bun. Not wanting the wrong impression, I dabbed on a bit of makeup, but not much. I paired this with some converse. I looked at my watch. "Shit!" I said out loud as I realised that I was late. 'I'll grab breakfast on the way' I thought to myself as I opened the door. "Bye pooch" I said to my dog, and with that I was out of my house, and starting a new job.

I walked into the office. I'd stopped at Starbucks on the way, and hoped o wouldn't be to late. I wasn't, well, I didn't think so anyway. "Your late" a voice said, brushing past me. I furrow my brows together. "By exactly 3 minutes." I turn to look at the face that comes with the voice. A good looking Asian man stands there, not looking impressed. "I'm sorry?" I say, in almost a questioning voice. The may opens his mouth to say something else, when 2 other men appear behind him. I immediately know these men as the 3 try guys, Keith, Zak and the extremely rude one, eugene. "Neds gone cause there was a bird that couldn't fly, and he wanted to help it soo.." Keith said. He looked at us again, and did a double take when he saw me. "Sorry, i didn't notice you, lady. I'm Keith, nice to meet you!" He says happily. "I'm Zack!" Says the smaller one. I'm about to say 'I know' but I get stopped when Keith says "I see you've already pissed Eugene off." I thought he would be annoyed, but he laughs. "Not pissed of, annoyed. She's 5 minutes late." Eugene says. I look at him, confused. "You said it was 3 minutes!?" I say, getting annoyed, "children, calm down."says Ned. "I'm Ned, nice to meet you!" He says. I notice Eugene roll his eyes, as Zack says: "don't give her such a hard time, eug, she just got here!" If he wasn't pissed off before, he definitely was now. Sensing an argument, Keith says " let's give her a tour!" Zack turns to look at me, and says: "how rude of us, not even asking your name!" I smile, "I'm Megan, Megan Wakeford." They all gasp at my accent. "Oh yeah," I add "I'm from England" I state. "Wow" is what you get from Ned. I just laugh slightly. "Can we get going, boys, we're going to be late" Eugene says impatiently. They sigh and walk of, leaving me trailing behind.
