"You fool. Your bred evil. It runs in your veins. I can't call you my son." The voice echoed around me and I strained against the chains on my wrists and my muscles screamed in agony from the pain. "Your not my father. You were never there for me so why should I believe you?" I screamed into the darkness. I heard a menacing laugh erupt in front of me. "Well. Why don't you say hi to your father then." Then out stepped from the darkness the devil himself. My father.
2 MONTHS EARLIER
A loud buzzing noise pulled me away from my dream and I let out a loud groan and slammed a hand over my alarm. Peeling my eyes open, I threw my covers over me and flung my legs over to the side of my bed. I stretched out and felt my joints pop and I breathed out a sigh of relief. "Well. Time to get ready for school ". i got ready and I I grabbed my worn out backpack and placed my phone in my front pocket and threw on some sunglasses.
"Sweetheart. Breakfast is ready!". My foster mom's chirpy voice made my lips curl into a smile. " She and Ralph have practically treated me like their own son for 2 years already. I have to somehow pay them back." I thought.
Maria's voice broke my thought of train and I ran down the stairs to be welcomed with a steaming platter of eggs and bacon. " Thanks Maria". I said as I slid into my seat and started gobbling down my food. "No problem sweetheart ."
Maria came over and planted a small kiss on the top of my head and went and sat at her side of the table. I looked up and her blue eyes were crinkled up from smiling and her blonde hair was up in a bun. She looked like a regular mom. I was glad her and Ralph actually wanted to foster me. If not, by now I'll be in juvenile detention or out on the streets. I was in foster care for a while since my dad abandon me when i was 5 and well my mom is just a angel in the ground now.
I finished eating and went to rinse my plate when i heard someone clear their throat. "Devon. You know the rules. No glasses inside the house." I rolled my eyes but i took of my sunglasses and looked at Maria. She smiled and nodded. I felt my phone vibrate and i knew if i didn't leave i was going to be late to school.
I grabbed my keys, kissed Maria on the top of her head and headed out, slipping on my sunglasses and there I saw my baby. With a glossy finish and slick look, my V rod Muscle is one beauty for sure. I turned on the ignition and I felt the soft purr of the engine. I felt my face curve into a smile, so I hit the gas and sped off to school. The wind tossed my hair and whipped at my clothes, and I wanted to shout on the top of my lungs because this was how freedom felt like. I sped by the corner market and soon passed the cemetery.
I looked over and saw that a service was being held. A women was crying so I guess she was a widow or something now but as they lowered the body down, I saw a man in a black coat go up to the casket, open it, and led the man out. I blinked, and I practically lost control of my bike when the man in the black coat turned towards me with an icy glare. I felt something drop to the pit of my stomach and I wouldn't be surprised if it was my heart. I blinked once more and they were gone. But the feeling in my stomach wasn't.
I arrived at school, and parked my bike. " Its really ok but i just don't know". I hear an eruption of laughter behind me, and as i turned around I saw a head full of fury red hair. But that wasn't what took my breath away. I saw dark green eyes, a tiny button nose, and a full pair of pink lips which were pulled into a smile. I could practically feel myself gaping at her cause well she was stunning. "How come I've never noticed her before?"I though.
I mentally punched myself for being so antisocial. She was with friends and they were just talking and laughing and strolling casually to school. Must be nice to have friends. "Hey nice bike." My train of thought was broken and I looked to see dark green eyes looking at me. She was smiling and i could see her friends smirking and giggling. "Uhhhhh.....Yeah its a beauty all right." I plastered on a grin and looked at her.
