Maxon
Damn it. I don't know how the hell I'm gonna forget her beautiful face. Specially the fact that she doesn't know how beautiful she is. Sure she's chubby, but she's still beautiful. Inside and Out.
It's been a week now, I still can't get over the fact that we're still classmates. I know its difficult for both of us. But we have to try and get along. I'm still part of the basketball team, I made sure of it. It's my one and only passion. Aside from Jade. I still love her though. I know it doesn't seem like it based on my actions, but I still truly care for her. God knows how much.
"Hey Max!" Luke came up to me, panting. He's recently been my friend. We get along easily because of the love we have for our sports. I love basketball and he's more into volleyball. "Hey dude. Where have you been." he held out his hand in a form of a fist-bump. I immediately bumped it to show our friendship. "Just thinking."
"Yeah no doubt. Hey, what do you think about the other teachers? Do you think we could make it this year without having detentions?"
"I doubt it. But I have to keep my straight-A's though. So deffinitely no detention for me. Plus, I've got basketball. Dad's supporting me in anyway that he can."
"Hey! What about me? Can't believe you've already forgoten about me." Eames walked up behind us. Putting both his arms on both me and Luke's shoulders.
"I could never forget you Eames. We're bros! So, you still joining basketball?" I asked. I was really curious because Eames and I have been buddies ever since grade school.
"Nah. I won't. I'm gonna focus on my studies more. Maybe I can finally outsmart you Max."
"No way. Only way you're gonna be doing that is by drinking memory pills every single day."
"Hey man, don't leave me hanging." We all laughed and enjoyed the moment as long as we can. I'm really lucky to have both of them by my side.
When we we're heading back to our classrooms. We were still laughing about what Eames just said about a non-sense joke. He quickly straightened up and looked straight at her.
"Hey Jade!" Eames shouted as he waved his arms in her direction. Jade waved back matched with the cute smile she always does when she's shy around people.
"She's really nice." Luke said. It turns out she already made friends with both of them. When we got to the classroom. Luke and Eames sat next to her. I couldn't bear looking at her because of how guilty I felt. I couldn't take it. I walked as far away from them as possible. I kept on glancing, I saw her smile. Laughing. I felt jealous because of how simply they could walk up to her and make her laugh. I could never do that again.
I heard Eames calling my name. When I turned around, Eames was gesturing me to go over to where she was. Her eyes were on me. She looked at me with sadness. Like her tears were about to fall again. I just couldn't bear watching her cry. I just waved a no and pretended to read a book.
I did it for both of us. I could feel my tears falling. But I couldn't let anyone see me cry.

After classes, I went to where Eames and Luke were.
"Why didn't you go to where Jade was earlier? We were about to tell you somthing funny Jade did." Luke said with confusion "Is something going on between you two?"
I immediately responded-"What? No! I was just really interested in my book." I said sounding as convincing as possible.
"Oh please. We all know that Maxon Bale does not like reading books." Eames quickly followed.
I had to get them off my back. Even though we're good friends, It doesn't mean that I'm ready to trust them with my secret.
"There's nothing going on. My dad gave me the book. He said it was important to him. That it changed his whole perspective in life. I was curious on how one simple book can change the course of a man's destiny."
They both looked at me, still not convinced. "Plus,my mom would quiz me about it later." I said, wishing that they hadn't seen the sweat coming out from my face.
"Well okay then, but I'm keeping my out for both of you okay? Jade seems really nice and she's also my friend. I just wanna know if something's going on." Luke said with too much seriousness in his voice "Didto." Emeas quickly followed up.
"Okay." I said. "So, wanna go grab some food?" I asked. Although I wanted to get out of this Jade situation, I really was hungry.
"Hell yeah!" They both shouted.
Then the three of us went on a food craze.
