Sonic stood motionless with the shocking letter in his shacking hands. This war wasn't another quick Shoot 'n' Run with Eggman. This was a full blown battle for the planet. If Sonic didn't help, he and his friends would perish, or be enslaved bu the enemy. He knew it was his duty, but after losing Amy.... "I have to protect my planet. They're all relying on me to help and save them. Amy is gone Sonic! Get over you'reself!" Sonic continued to talk to himself. Finally, all thoughts of Amy were out of his mind, as if they were suddenly deleted.

.............War Zone A-37.....................

Sonic took down multiple creatures at once. He sped along the dirt and gravel, jumped up, and slammed three into the ground. Half a dozen small explosions knocked eight to the ground. Sonic fought on. Even with all seven Chaos Emeralds, Sonic coudn't defeat thousands. He knew what he had to do. The war zone as clear of innocent people but many solders remained.  After speaking with the general, the two decided that there were no other options but one. As the last truck of soldiers was evacuated, they dropped......the bomb.

Thousands of dead, bloody creatures and soldiers lay spread out along the ground. Sonic limp to the control tent to inform the base that all enemies had been terminated. Then, as if in slow motion, the shot of a gun pounded in Sonic's ears. He looked down, trembling and weak. The bullet went through his stomach. He turned to see the one who killed Amy. Mephiles the Dark. "Mepliles, you.........killed Amy....but you will..............never defeat me!" Mephiles laughed then spoke, "What a coincidence seeing you here you little pesk. With the so called super hero gone, there will be no one to stop me!" Sonic interrupted Mephiles with a smile on his face. "Oh, yeah,"he said coughing"check again. The dark spirit looked down in anger and shock.A silver bullet had been shot into his chest. He slowly fell down. His screams of rage started to fade away. Sonic fell into a deep sleep. All colors turned to black. His heart beat drifted away until there was nothing left. He was suddenly awakened by a beautiful voice that sent him into a calm, warm feeling. As he slowly awakened, he saw his beloved Amy. standing before him in gold and white. Her angelic smile and glistening eyes put Sonic at ease. The two held hands and walked into a brilliant glow of light. Finally, love has been reunited. Sonic and his  Guardian Angel will stay forever in peace .

~2019~

Hey so I'm an adult now.

Yuck.

Anyways, if anybody is still reading this travesty, thanks. I apologize for subjecting you to my dramatic ass.

I've come a long way in the past 5 or so years, and it's nice to return to these old things every once in a while and reminisce on when I thought I was profound. A simpler time... when Sonic liked Amy, and my MarySue  was loved by literally everyone else. A time when my biggest concerns revolved around using MS paint for all my fan art, and editing my 10 subscriber special on YouTube; all this because I didn't know what was really going on in the world. And how easy I had it as a 13 year old with a laptop, and how much I'd struggle as a woman growing up in the world we live in now.

Anyways, I digress. Just know, whether you're 13 or 30, I truly don't judge. Just please remember that it's platforms like Wattpad that give us the power to influence the world around us with the touch of a screen or the push of a button. It's a incredible gift, but the late great Stan Lee taught us that with great power comes great responsibility. PLEASE use it wisely. Use it to enact the change you want to see in the world. Use it to spread positivity and love. Use it to write YOUR story. Because your story is a part of history. The things you've experienced and what you've got to say about them are what shape the future. Give people a reason to speak out. Inspire people to love one another like never before. Describe the world you see beautifully and give vision to the blind and hope to the downtrodden. Fight for the right to be exactly who you are, through a passion for storytelling of the human experience. Use your abilities to help others understand and let your voice be heard.

Because forreal, if 13 year old me can get 3.6 thousand reads on this piece of melodramatic garbage, think of the possibilities of someone who's educated, and driven, and passionate, and experienced, and thoughtful, and romantic, like so many people are. Attention and support comes far too easily to those who are confidently arrogant.  The internet is an insane source of power. Educate yourselves. Familiarize yourselves with the stories of others, their hardships and successes alike, and If you have an experience, speak it. Sing it. Dance it. Draw it. Shout it. Write it. Because those who have the ability to take action have the responsibility to take action.

Because these ideas of love and peace and freedom and understanding are more than just failed dreams written in a story book. They exist. They exist in all of us writers who romanticize the hell out of life because that's what we want to see in the world...and it's possible.

I believe in you all. I might be back. Haha we'll see.

Peace for now

~Chase
