I woke up screaming to another nightmare. Louis was in this one too. Many of my nightmares were beginning to include Louis. How was he connected to all of this? How was he a part of Ann's life?
I got out of bed, my head still spinning from all the unanswered questions. I jumped into the shower hoping that the warm water would bring the whirlwind of emotions to a stop. It did. I sighed as the warm stream hit my face. I let the water wash away all the anxiety. I got out of the shower feeling refreshed and ready to take on a new day.
I walked into the kitchen with a small smile tugging on my lips. My mom watched me as I sat down at the table."Ooh, blueberry pancakes!! They smell amazing mom!"
"Hey! You look happy"
I chuckled and tucked into the delicious pancakes. "Oh my god mom, these taste so good."
My mom smiled and sat down beside me with her own plate of pancakes. "So how's school going? Learn anything interesting?"Well, my hot economics teacher is mental and believes that werewolves exist. Oh and I was with him and his crazy friend last night 'hiding' from these 'werewolves' because they both wanted to 'protect' me from a bunch OF IMAGINARY WEREWOLVES!
"Great!" I said instead. My mom looked at me the way a parent does when talking about school - couldn't care less but trying really hard to be excited for you. "That's good to hear honey! Well have another great day today! Oh and Seira, I'm taking the night shift today so I won't be home when you get back. Is that OK?"
My mom worked as a nurse at the town hospital which meant that she had to do night shifts every now and then.
"Yeah, no problem."
"Do you want me to call Mrs. Howard to come over for a bit in the evening?"
"I think I can handle heating up some frozen dinner mom."
"Are you sure you'll be alright, alone at night?"
I paused. "Yes, mom I'll be okay. And if it makes you feel better I'll call Mrs.Howard over for a bit."
She still looked a little unsure.
"I'll be fine mom!" I reassured her and gave her a small smile.
"OK then. I'll see you tomorrow. Bye!"
"Bye, mom!"
As I walked to school my mind kept drifting back to Mr. Carter and last night's events. There were so many unanswered questions. Why was he acting so crazy last night? Who was Neil? My mind began to spin again with all the crazy.
I walked into school and made my way to the lockers. Angel was waiting for me and texting someone at my locker. Guessing by the stupid grin on her face it was probably Jo, her boyfriend.
"Who you texting?" I said in an almost sing-song voice.
"Nooo one." She sang back trying to play innocent.
I cocked an eyebrow.
"Okay, I was texting Jo." She admitted in defeat.
I chuckled.
"What do you have first period?" She asked me.
"Economics."
"Omg, you're so lucky. Don't you guys have that hot teacher for Eco? He makes me wish I took Eco."
I rolled my eyes at her.
"What? Admit it you think he's hot too."
"I'm not going to admit anything. Now go to class" I said pretending to shoo her away.
