"That would be a dollar and 50 cents" said the cashier.
"Uhhh there you go" Jay smiled.
"You do realise that you didn't need to do that" I replied as a smile so small that it was unrecognisable appeared on my face.
"It's okayyyy now lets head to class we're going to be late" he replied.
I searched for my new timetable in my bag to see what lesson I would have first. English! I smiled to myself as I looked through the rest of the lessons I would have today, but my smile instantly changed as I now realised that I had math last period. Great.
Jay had Dance first so I walked with him to the studio seeing as it was on the same floor as my English class.
"I'll see you then homie" he said while we slowly parted ways.
I rushed as I saw everyone entering class, out of breath I quickly sat in my seat.
"So today class we will be studying.."
Those were the last words I could really remember from my first day everything was a complete blur. I snapped back into reality as the last bell rang for Math. On the bright side pretty much everyone was in my maths class my friends, people I knew and Jay and his friends. I tried to concentrate but then a felt someone put their fingers through my hair. I ignored it as I wrote in my notebook. Then it happened again. As I began to turn around they whispered in my ear...
"Your hair feels reaaal nice"
I turned around to see Jay smiling. I laughed to myself and began to daydream once again...

The bell rang for the end of the day and everyone was talking. Really loud. I thought it was about me as I practically fell asleep in that class but nope. My friend Amanda filled me in on what was going on.
"Yo Jas, we need to get invited to Marcos party tonight"
"Urm I think you've forget who your talking to, me Jasmine Calvani, not popular and has strict parents."
"You take care of getting us invited and I'll take care about your situation"
"Well..fine I'll try"
I had no idea how I was even going to pull this off. I walked around school thinking of how I was even going to attempt to get an invite. Everyone was heading home with no sight of Marco. Marco was Jay's best friend. He was also a player and they are pretty much the same person but divided into two.
I didn't realise how much I actually walked as I made it to the end of the school near the basketball courts. To my surprise Jay, Marco and the rest of their friends were playing basketball. I quickly made my way back but came to a stop as Jay shouted my name.
"Jasmine!"
"Yeah?"
"You coming tonight" he asked smirking.
"Nope! I didn't get invited" I said with such sass that most of the guys understood what I was trying to say.
"Well...you are now" Marco replied.
I played that off so cool that I gave myself a pat on the back like a complete idiot. I ran home in excitement.
I took my shoes off and made my way up the stairs.
"How was your day honey" asked my mom.
"Oh it was more than amazing" I said while smiling.
"Oh well don't you go smiling too much" my mom said while winking.
I ran upstairs and instantly called Amanda to tell her the good news. She was just as existed as I was but all excitement stopped as I realised my situation with my parents...
