Chapter 5: Lies

Ashley and Andrei are going strong in their almost one month relationship. Andrei doesn't see the expressionless and sadness on Ashley's face whenever they are with or without each other's company. He even introduced her to his friends and to his family and relatives which they acknowledge their relationship. He even made their classmates apologize to what they have done to her. Ashley didn't keep any grudge against them so she easily forgives them.

For Ashley, her life changed little by little since she became Andrei's girlfriend. She's really happy because she has found someone she could trust with everything. Andrei didn't leave her side when she started telling him her past. He chose to remain there for her until her pain subsided. She's contended in her life.

Ashley's fixing her things as she prepares to go to the fencing club where Andrei is a member. Andrei left right after class for he's going to be late for their practice and she said she'll follow afterwards. Since she's the only one who doesn't have an after class activity, she was left alone in the classroom.

"Well, well, well, look what we have here," a girl from a different class suddenly enter their classroom. It's Madison Imperial of class 2-B.

Ashley jerked her head to Madison's direction. She doesn't know who the girl was so she just ignored her and brought her attention back to her things.

Being offended by Ashley's action, Madison approached her. "You're such a snob, alive dummy. Feeling so high and mighty just because you have Andrei by your side."

"I'm sorry, I don't talk much to people whom I don't know." She answered in a monotone.

"Hmm..." Madison sat on the desk in front of Ashley's and crossed her legs. "O~kay, since we're at it, on these stranger to stranger talk, I just want to give you some piece of information about Andrei. Wanna hear it?"

Ashley remained silent.

"Oh, silence, so that means it's a yes." Madison approved sarcastically. She looks at Ashley who doesn't seem to care about her, making her angry even more. "You know what? I have known Andrei for a very long time more than you do. And one of the things I know about him is that he's great in deceiving people he doesn't like." She smiled, a devilish smile. "Look at you. You seemed to believe Andrei to the point that you're not aware he's only playing you right on his palm. It's such a shame that you have chosen the wrong decision of loving Andrei."

Ashley looked at Madison. "I didn't chose the wrong decision. I know that Andrei is such a good person, he might be like that in the past, as what you have met him, but I guess he has changed."

Madison chuckled. "Changed? Such an innocent way of thinking. Do you believe that a person can change the way he is for a short period of time?"

"Yes," she simply answered.

Madison's chuckled turned into a loud laughter. "And what is it that you find so funny?" Ashley's raised a brow.
