"Are we really going to risk our lives for some dumb rebellion Finnick?" he sits across the table muttering under his breath. Finnick smirks and throws a piece of his paper at me.

"Johanna. Don't you see we could get revenge on Snow for all the people he's killed? My family and yours." my stomach turns at this thought. His sea colored eyes nearly glare into me making my love for him stronger with every second. He doesn't understand this though. He is all I have. No family. No friends. Just Finnick Odair and his insane lover.

"You two need to make a choice now. We already have most of the victors replies. We just need yours." Plutarch Heavensbee. The new head gamemaker who is ready to kill me again. He is pushing us harder and harder into this rebellion idea. Started by the princess of the capitol Katniss Everdeen. Part of me is jealous that she got the love story she wanted and I'm stuck with Mr.Fanboy over here always talking about Annie.

"I'm in." Finnicks tone is calm but his eyes scream indecision. He turns in my direction and nods. His bronze hair somehow always ends up perfectly flipped upwards. Probably something the capitol forces him to do.

"I guess I'm in too. All we have to do is keep the stupid kid alive?" Haymitch Abernathy laughs. The drunk mentor from 12 somehow lead Seneca Crane into allowing two victors. This whole situation is comical to me. Two new victors against experienced killers will make this plan much harder to carry out.

"Perfect. Do you two mind coming back tomorrow morning just before training to discuss further issues?" Plutarch makes everything sound very official and organized. I've never seen an organized rebellion before so this should be interesting. "I will be sure to have myself and Johanna down here before training"

Plutarch nods and dismisses us. Finnick stands and walks out waiting for me outside the small meeting room. We walk for a few minutes until I decide to break the silence. "What do you think you've gotten us into now Finnick Odair?" he laughs and flashes his perfect white teeth. Perfect. So perfect.

"I believe we are becoming chess pieces in a giant game of rebellion" he puts his hands in his pockets and watches his feet while we walk. I don't care about Katniss Everdeen or Peeta Mellark. I really was kind of excited to fight them and show them who's boss. Knock them down to size and such. But Finnick steps in and swoons me to follow him without even using words.

"So we are the pieces willing to sacrifice ourselves to keep the queen and king alive? The rooks and such?" He scoffs and looks up, pressing the elevator button allowing me to step in first. "I don't think we're lucky enough to have that high of a ranking. We are more like the pawns. We take the hits early on to keep them alive through the beginning"

"I'm starting to want to back out. We could just 'not find them' and let Brutus or someone kill her." He scoffs, something in him is different then it was three minutes ago. His posture is straighter and hands are together behind his back. His eyes flare up with a new emotion. One I've seen in him before but went missing a long time ago. Determination. I have to get that look away before he commits to this and does something stupid. "Finnick what will happen to Annie if you die in that arena?" the look does disappear and turns to anger quickly. I didn't want to say it but I needed to get him away from this idea.

"Do not bring Annie into this. " He snaps. The elevator dings signaling the arrival at his floor. Instead of getting off he presses the button to close the door. We stand silently in the elevator for a few minutes. I reach to hit the 7 button but he steps in front of it. "Finnick move"

He stands still and silent. He practically towers over me. What's going on in your head Finnick? What is running through your beautiful mind because I know what's running through mine. Aside from wanting to kill Katniss Everdeen, he is the only thing in my mind. The elevator begins to move. He steps away from the buttons as we move. "I know you don't want to be part of this but I couldn't handle killing you if it came to it. Don't you see this is an opportunity to get out alive? If Plutarch can pull a few strings we could come out alive. Both of us. We could stop these games all together."

He turns around and steps out, not concerned what floor it is. Probably hurt by my harsh words. I think about following to apologize but the doors close.

Stupid. No more thoughts. No more doubt. Who cares if I break this deal? Finnick is so set on this dumb idea that he'll probably die as soon as the cannon sounds. Dumb capitol. Dumb Plutarch. Dumb everyone. I don't need to be part of this plan. But i do need Finnick Odair in my life. I don't want to lose him but I also don't want to help some spoiled District 12 girl that got away from the games with her so called lover.

Some of had to betray people. Some of us had to get or hands dirty to win the games. I hate her but Finnick is so determined to help her. What if something were to happen and Finnick couldn't get to her first? He wouldn't have to know about that and then we could move on with our lives. Away from this stupid idea of a rebellion. Away from a large number of worthless deaths. All of this just stupid.

One thing I can't figure out in my head though , is why do I care so much?
