After breakfast, Cream ran downstairs all dressed. She ran to Shadow, and jumped up and down.
"Mr. Shadow! Mr. Shadow!" She said, excitedly. "What now?" He asked. "I want to go to the park! I wanna go down the big slide! Please? Can we please?" She asked. "Chao! Chao!" Cheese begged. "Okay! Okay!" Shadow shouted. "I'll take you to the park! For crying out loud!" "Yay!" Cream cheered. "How can my life get and worse?" Shadow thought. Shadow took Cream's hand, and Cream led the way to the park.
At the park, there was everything you would find at a park. A fountain, a swing set, a slide, seesaws, a merry-go-round, and a sandbox. "So...where to first?" Shadow asked. "The slide!" Cream said, jumping up and down. "Watch me! Watch me!" Cream ran to the slide, and Shadow walked over. She got up the steps and sat down. When she got up there, she stopped. She didn't slide down.
"What's wrong?" Shadow asked. "Well...my mommy would ride with me on the slide...because...I am a bit afraid I'm gonna fall...," Cream said, nervously, and holding on to Cheese. Shadow sighed. "You want me to get on?" He asked. "Yes please," she said. Shadow got up the steps, and wrapped her arms around Cream. Shadow then pushed off, and Cream smiled happily. "Wheeeeeee!" She cheered. As they got down, Cream turned back and hugged Shadow. "Thank you, Mr. Shadow," she smiled. "Yeah, yeah," Shadow said.
Cream then ran over to the swings. "Mr. Shadow!" Cream yelled. "Now what?" Shadow said to himself, as he walked over to the swings. "Can you help me on the swings?" She asked. "You want me to get on with you again?" He asked. "No. The swings are to small, and I'm afraid I'll slip off you and fall," she explained. "I just need help pushing. But not too high." "Okay," Shadow said. Shadow picked up Cream, and placed her on the swing. Cream held on to the chains tightly, as Shadow walked behind her, and gently pushed her. So far, Cream was swinging normally, and Shadow was getting a bit tired. "You think you can swing on your own?" Shadow asked. "No, I can't. I'll stop," she said.
A few minutes later, she told him to stop, and Shadow was relieved. He stopped her, and Cream got off. She then ran over to the merry-go-round, and hopped on. "Mr. Shadow! I need help pushing again!" Shadow just stared at her. "I could just cry," he thought.
He walked over to Cream, and used his body strength to push. He then realized he pushed to hard, as he saw Cream spinning to fast, and getting really dizzy. She then got a bit close to the edge, and she fell off! She then let out a huge scream, and Shadow skated to her. Shadow looked and saw her knee scraped, and blood trickling down slowly. Cream screamed and cried loudly. "Shoot," he said. He quickly picked her up, and skated home.
He immediately got to her mother's room, and set her down on the bed. Cream was sniffling, and tears slid slowly down her cheeks. Shadow quickly got the first aid kit out, and took out rubbing alcohol, and a cotton ball. Cream shook her head no, but Shadow poured some, and lightly tapped it. Cream screamed again as the alcohol was stinging her. Shadow then blew on her scrape which made her calm down.
"Just calm down and breathe," Shadow said. "Okay...," she said, slowly breathing. "Am I gonna die?" She asked. "You're gonna be fine," he said. He then grabbed a few band-aids, and placed them on her knee. "There. Better?" He asked. "No. Give it a kiss," she said. "That's what mommy does." Shadow sighed, and lightly kissed her wound. Cream then smiled. "Thank you, Mr. Shadow," she said, hugging him. "No problem," he said. She then got up, and walked downstairs.
Shadow watched as she walked downstairs. He couldn't believe he hurt her.... Cream...a six-year-old bunny.
