Shadow baby-sits Cream

Shadow and Cream's fun

Cream was splashing in the water all by herself. Meanwhile, Shadow was alone on the beach, laying on the blanket.
Cream saw him and asked, "Mr. Shadow, can you play with me?" Shadow looked at her. "Um...what do you have that's...fun?" He asked. "I got a beach ball right here!" She said, getting the ball. "Okay. I'll play," he said. "Think fast!" Cream yelled, throwing the ball at Shadow's face, but Shadow caught it anyway. Cream ran back in, and so did Shadow.
They got in the water, and started playing around with the ball. Shadow bounced the ball around up in the air before passing it to Cream. If Cream ever got too deep, Shadow would help her. Just then, he said, "Hold on. Let me go get something." He got out, and skated somewhere. He then soon came back with a life preserver. "This will help you," he said. He put it around Cream, and they went deeper to where Shadow wasn't touching the sand. (Okay. So in this, Shadow can swim, but Sonic can't. Can Shadow do fine in water? I'm guessing he can. I'm not the smartest Sonic fan. I try so hard.)
Cream was a little scared, but she saw Shadow close to her. "I'm right here Cream. You'll be okay," Shadow said. "I know," Cream said. An hour later, they both got out to take some rest. "You hungry Cream?" Shadow asked down at her. "Yes," she said. "I'll give you your lunch. Want an ice cream to go with it? Or are you still not eating it anymore?" He chuckled, but Cream said, "You know, I was sick for only one day. I can still have ice cream. Besides, what would I have if I don't have ice cream?" "Candy?" Shadow asked. "Nah, ice cream is better to me," she said. "Okay. What flavor?" Shadow asked. "Vanilla please," she said. "Okay, I'll be back. You get yourself settled for lunch," Shadow said before skating off. Cream took out her sandwich, and started eating it.
When she was done, Shadow came back with two ice creams. One vanilla, and one chocolate. "Back," Shadow said. "Yay!" Cream said with excitement. Shadow gave her her ice cream, and Shadow ate his.
"This is the best day ever!" Cream said happily. "It sure is," Shadow said. "I never thought this would be so much fun. I guess I spend too much time on missions." "It's okay. At least you do them to protect us," Cream said. "Well, some," Shadow said. "Not always. But yeah, at least."
When they finished their lunch, they cleaned up, and got back in the water.
