"Ong!" I yell, running towards my lonely looking friend. I slide along the seat stopping once I bump into him.
"Hi!" Ong Sungwoo greets me with just as much enthusiasm. He, as per usual, is grinning from ear to ear.
"How are you?" I ask him as I begin to dig through my bag and pull out a box
"I'm good, you?"
"I'm fine, want one?" I open up the box to reveal a bunch of brightly coloured macarons. He licks his lips and takes a blue one
"Isn't this for your sister though?" He says as he bites into it
"Yeah, but it wouldn't hurt eat a couple." I take one for myself and begin eating it "You know, taste test them to make sure they aren't poisonous." He holds up his hand which I high-five.
"I like your logic." He shoves the rest of his macaron into his mouth. "When will this bus get here?" He grabs my arm and gentle twists it around to look at my watch. "Five minutes, argh."
"If only it could get here sooner." I sigh "We have a wedding to go to." He nods, my sister is getting married soon and I was given the last minute task of picking up the macarons and bringing them to the venue. Now, your probably thinking some cliché of me dropping them is going to happen. No, you're wrong. They might get a bit squashed in my bag but I certainly won't be dropping them. I place the box back into my bag and Sungwoo and I proceed to wait for the bus, chatting away about this and that.

Arriving at the venue; a not so stunning one at that- my family house, we a greeted by several people, mostly my family members. "Hello, Yu-Yu~" I hear an older voice call
"Oh, grandma!" I say greeting the current head of our family, my feisty little grandmother with a big hug; by feisty I mean really feisty - unless she likes you, then she's similar to an angel.
"Hello to you too, Sungwoo ~ Oh! How you've grown, it's been so long." She give him a rather vigorous hug too, understandable she hasn't seen him in three years at least.
"Grandma, where's Yerim?" I ask, in search of the wonderful bride of the ceremony.
"She's upstairs, you two can go and visit her now if you want." We both nod and go to leave when my grandma stops us
"You brought the macarons, right? Give them to me." I take the box out of my bag
"Hopefully nothing happened to them." I say wincing as she opens the box
"They're perfect, now go! See your sister!" She shoots us away and we run upstairs to go and find my sister
"Yerim, where are you?" I call
"In my bedroom!" She replies and then lets out a rather loud yelp. Sungwoo and I open the door to her room and I'm immediately attacked by a hug
"Oh my god, Yewon you're here!" She squeaks in excitement
"Well, yeah, of course I am; it's your wedding." She turns to Sungwoo
"Thank you so much for coming too, you must have been really busy with your studies but you still came." Sungwo shakes his head
"No, it's okay. I'm not that busy at the moment." Liar, you have three assignments due soon that I know you haven't finished yet. I cough
"Um, what about me? I had to take time out of my studies. Not just for today either, for about the past month! And you have assignments to Sungwoo." I pout and take the opportunity to complain and seek some sympathy for all the hard work I'd been doing.
"Oh, poor you~" my sister coos, pinching my cheeks and pulling on them slightly. I swat her hands away. "Anyways, Sungwoo, how are you? Actually, no, you know that's not what I'm interested in." She nudges him and smiles
"Dayoung is fine." He says referring to his girlfriend, lucky him. Why must the world be against me, pretty much everyone around me is in a relationship and I'm single - even Sungwoo who claimed that we were going to be single together. Yeah well, you weren't expecting Dayoung were you?

Sitting in one of the outdoor chairs I laugh to myself thinking about how bad this is. They can easily afford an expensive wedding; Yerim's husband is richer than all of the members of my family combined yet Yerim insisted that this is what they're wedding was going to be. I can't begin to imagine how her husband is going to live with this for the rest of his life. I look over at his family, all dressed up like royalty. Oh, how disgusted they must be. I can hear it now 'My son doesn't deserve this.' and 'I told him should've married someone of a high-class, but no, he chose the poor girl.'. I indirectly pull a face in their general direction, gladly none of them spotted me. I'm tempted to do it again but I know that if I do I'll get caught. The ceremony itself was almost done and I'm amazed we got through the whole 'if anyone would like to object please do so now' without objections. Rings were exchanged and then approximately ten minutes later the ceremony ended. My mother let out a sniff, an almost fake sniff
"My little bird is all grown up and leaving the nest for a new one."
"Mum, I'm your little bird. The big bird on the other hand, is the one that left." She stops her mock crying
"True." She nods "I don't think you'll ever leave the nest though, which is a shame."
"Thanks for the encouragement, mum." I sigh, standing up to congratulate my sister as she passes us. Sungwoo pokes my shoulder "Yeah, what?"
"Just know that my wedding will be better than this." He whispers "You'll be with me right the way through this making sure I don't do something wrong in front of my wife's family." I giggle
"I'll make sure you do nothing wrong, I'll even say your vows for you and put the ring on your wife's finger for you if I have to because you're so emotional." He grins at me
"I'm glad to have the support, and you'll probably have to say about half my vows for me at least."
"Yeah, especially if it's Dayoung's family you're trying to impress." I laugh "From what I've heard from you they're terrifying."
"Truely terrifying, yes." He pulls a scared face and we both convulse into laughter.
