"Yewon, did you do the assignment?" I look at him with a highly exasperated look
"You didn't do it?" I say, he shakes his head
"Sorry...?" I take my book out of my bag and shove it into his hands
"Copy mine at lunch, just remember to change the wording. You've got to stop talking to Dayoung all night, it's not helping you." Sungwoo scratches the back of his neck
"Thanks, but I can't help it. You know when you start talking to someone and you just can't stop?" You mean like how we used to until she showed up, yeah I know what you mean.
"I guess I get what you mean." I say, "Turn left, Ong." I turn him around and push him forwards
"Oh, right. It's been two years and I still don't know where to go."
"Is Dayoung coming today?" I ask, if she is I'll just end up lonely or third-wheeling like I usually do.
"Nope, she isn't feeling well. It's just you and me for the next week apparently." He says wrapping an arm around my shoulder and pulling me closer to him
"You shouldn't sound so happy about that, your girlfriend's sick! Imagine if she could hear you right now?" He grins
"I'm not happy about it, but it means I get to spend time with you. I haven't done that in awhile." Well yeah, that's true.
"I suppose that doesn't sound too bad, but don't neglect your girlfriend." I remind him, you can't neglect her like how you sometimes neglect me.
"I know, but I can't get sick too."

I turn him around once more as we arrive at our first class "Oh, thanks." We walk in my hands still promptly on his shoulders
"Do I need to guide you to your seat, sir?" I ask and he lets out a laugh
"No, I'm fine thank you. I think I can do this length of the journey on my own." I let out a pretend choking sound, like I'm holding back tears
"But young master, I don't think you're ready for this." Sungwoo's laughing just got louder, people were staring at us - this happens a lot so they're quite used to it. They also all probably think that we're actually mental but that's okay too.
"It's okay, Yewon, I'm ready." He says, breaking away from the grip I have in his shoulders and proudly marching to his seat and sitting down. I fake cry,
"Oh, the young master has done it. He's a hero!" I spread my arms in the air rather ridiculously
"Do you even care about your image?" A short girl, (name: Lee Hyekyung - but more on her as the story progresses. Put simply, she's my archenemy) with make-up caked on her face and clothes that barely covered her, remarks
"No, not really. Do you?" She gives me a look
"Of course."
"Well then, I'm not sure if your family would be proud of you if they saw you wearing that." Her eyes narrow, I'm not wrong; her parents aren't aware of this, she changes into her uh... let me put it nicely, really short clothing once she gets here.
"At least I can afford clothes." One boy in the class lets out a 'oh, she went there'
"I'm sorry but am I naked? No, I'm not. My clothes are more obviously on me than yours are anyway." I made my best attempt to keep calm, I must admit I'm doing better than normal usually I would've snapped by now. Hyekyung opens her mouth to say something but then gets interrupted
"And now would be a good time for you to sit down, come on I'll guide you to your seat." Sungwoo says dragging me down to the front of the room where we usually sit; as far away as possible from her.
"Ah, she gets on my nerves." Sungwoo pats me on my shoulder
"I know, I know. It's not your fault she was born horrible, you just have to ignore it." He pats me on the head twice and then stops patting me "Okay?"
"Okay, I'll try." He grins at me and I grin back at him.

"I honestly don't get it Yewon," Hyunjoo says taking a large sip from her milkshake "how are you not the one dating Sungwoo?"
"Because we're friends. It's been like that since we were born pretty much, since we were in diapers." Hyunjoo nods
"Exactly, that's my point." I shake my head,
"I don't follow."
"You," she points a finger at me and then proceeds to boop my nose "and Sungwoo, have known each other for as long as you've been alive. You know everything about him and he knows everything about you! How can he not love you and how can you not love him?"
"Because we know everything about each other, that's why." Some of my ugliest moments were witnessed by him, I can't date someone that's witnessed that.
"But wouldn't that make the relationship stronger?" I shrug my shoulders "How isn't Dayoung not jealous of you two?"
"Because he ignores me for her, she's more important." Hyunjoo's eyes widen
"That little... how dare he ignore you." I know, not the nicest feeling when your best friend ditches you for his girlfriend
"It's not that bad." Yes it is "Besides, I'm used to it." Well, at least that bit's true. Sungwoo dumps his stuff down at that moment
"What are you discussing?" You.
"Oh, we're just talking about this and that. Hyunjoo suggested that we all go visit Dayoung later this week to check on her. Better later rather than earlier though we'll have a better chance of not getting sick too." Sungwoo nods and Hyunjoo kicks me from under the table. I shake my head at her
"That's a good idea, Dayoung will enjoy seeing all of us."
"She'll enjoy seeing you the most." Hyunjoo smiles at him, and holds out her milkshake "Want it? I'd give to Yewon but she doesn't like strawberry." Sungwoo examines the cardboard container, judging just how much is left.
"Sure." He pulls out my assignment that I gave him earlier "I'll tell Dayoung about us stopping by later - for now, I have an assignment to complete."
"You didn't do that?" Hyunjoo gasps
"Nope." He shakes his head proudly
"Mister Perfect Student didn't do his assignment?" Sungwoo embarrassedly laughs at the nickname
"He was talking to Dayoung." I inform and Hyunjoo's face drops in understanding
"Right, of course, talking to Dayoung. What else should I expect." Sungwoo grins and nods. You know, I think both me and Hyunjoo want our best friends back but at the same time we don't have the heart to tell either of them that. Besides, they make a wonderful couple.
