Walking down the halls of Goode, keeping my head low, staring at my all time crush from the corners of my eyes.

Leo Valdez. He was funny, cute, and amazing at woodworking like me. But...he had a girlfriend. He may not be gay...but he could be bi, maybe?

I keep that hopefulness as I dip my head lower and start to open my locker. Suddenly, I feel myself lifted up and slammed against the lockers.

Tony. One of the biggest bullies in school. He punches my face and I feel blood on my lips.

"What's up, Logay?" He sneers. I cringe feeling blood drip to the ground.

"Nothing much, Tobitch," I snap back, then bite my tongue regretting it. He punches me again and the world spins. We have gathered a crowd.

"You wanna talk to me like that, Logay? I have some news for you," he says. He punches me and drops me to the floor, and walks away slowly. As the crowd disperses, he looks at me with a smirk on his face. I don't even feel like getting up. Just want to stay lying on the floor as kids pass by.

"Ahhhh!" A familiar voice yells as someone jumps on the back of Tony. Tony yells trying to throw him off but the scrawny kid is stronger than he looks. He jumps off Tony doing a flip and rolling out of it, into a fighting stance. Then I see his face as the light hits it. Leo. My knight in shining armor.

He punches Tony repeatedly and dodges his slow hits. Then he grabs onto Tony hair and something crazy happens. Tony's hair is covered in fire. tony screams fleeing the school out the door, trying to put the mysterious fire out. Leo smirks and sticks up his middle finger at him, then grinning fully.

He walks over to me and I blush standing up grabbing my face in pain.

"You k'?" He asks me. I just stand there astonished. "Yeah, I know, he couldn't handle that, a big tough muscly kid like me," he grins again flexing his muscles. I smile a bit.

"Are...you okay?" I ask sheepishly.

"Oh yeah, why wouldn't I be?" He asks, flexing his muscles again. I half roll my eyes, and he grins. "And, it's okay. I get how you feel. A friend of mine was bullied like you too. But he's one of the greatest heroes ever," he says. I ignore the last part, even though I am confused. "I mean, you would never think a flaming hot kid like me would get bullied too, I mean, there nothing wrong with me!" He smiles. I smile back.

"Thanks, Leo. I'm gonna go get cleaned up inter bathroom now. Thanks for...punching the shit outta Tony," I say, a smile tugging at the corner of my mouth.

"No problem. Hey, maybe we could hang out some time! You could come over to my friend Percy's house and we could all play some video games, is that cool?" Leo says smiling. I nod, shocked. Leo puts his his forehead in a saluting motion, and winks, running down the hall.

Maybe Leo and I could be really good friends.
