Mackenzie's POV
I walked out of room seven fully dressed after my shower. I took two steps into the hallway before running straight into Joel.
"What are you still doing up?" Joel asks almost skittishly.
"Oh, I just had a shower... Needed to clear my mind." I say. Joel gave me a suspicious look. It was then that I noticed he was wearing foundation on his neck. "What's this?" I ask grabbing hold of his shirt and pulling him closer to me. He turned his head away from me and whimpered.
"Please don't hurt me..." He whispered, I wipe away the foundation to reveal a long scar, almost like he or someone else  had slit his throat.
"Joel, who did this?" I ask with disbelief. "Was, it me? Joel tell me!" He flinch at the harshness of my voice but nodded with tears streaming down his face. "Christ..." I take his hand and lead him into room seven. He sits down on the bench and sobs. I knelt down in front of him and started wiping tears away. "I'm sorry Joel... I'm so sorry..." I say.
"It was all my fault..." Joel says. I shake my head.
"Don't tell me anything else Joel... I shouldn't remember these terrible things..." Joel grabbed my wrist and pulled me toward him suddenly.
"You need to know!" The door swung open and Zeke walked in.
"What's going on here?" Zeke says angrily.  I pull myself front Joel's grip and sigh.
"I'm not quite sure to be honest." I say walking towards Zeke.
"Jesus Joel your scar is showing!" Zeke says, Zeke then turns to me, his eyes going dark. He grabs my arm and shakes me. "What do you remember?" He asks.
"Nothi-" Zeke cuts me off with a good another good shake.
"What do you remember!" He shouts and me. I give him a frightened look.
"I didn't remember anything...." I say tearing up. Zeke sighs and hugs me tightly.
"I'm sorry... I didn't mean to scare you darling, I just.... I just don't want you to ever remember those things..." I sniffled as Zeke talked.
"She needs to remember Zeke!" Joel shouted. "She needs to remember-" Zeke cut Joel off.
"Shut it Joel!" Zeke growled. "You say another word to her about this nonsense then I'll personally put you away!" Joel sobbed harder than he was already doing. I parted from Zeke just as I heard whisper in the room.
'My name is Darla, but you can call me D.' My body froze in place as I heard this and Joel stopped crying to yell at Zeke.
"Zeke she's having a still seizure!" I looked toward Joel and frown.
"I'm fine I just heard someone say something..." I said.
"What did you hear?" Zeke asked.
"But nobody said anything..." Joel said.
"I told you to shut up Joel." Zeke exclaims.
"I heard a woman's voice..." I said.
"Well what did she say Kenzie?" Zeke looked at my with worry.
"I can't remember now..." I lie, Zeke sighed and pulled me out into the hallway.
"I know you lying Kenz' you don't have to be afraid of me... You know I'd never hurt you." I shake my head and look at my feet.
"I don't even know anything about you... I've literally only remember three days with you maybe four and thats including today, how can I trust you?" I say ripping my arm out of his hands. "Especially when one of those four days you had me electrocuted!" I hiss at him.
"That has the hardest thing I ever had to do! Knowing... Knowing that you may never remember me, or anyone else for that matter was the worst thing I have ever experienced..." Zeke pulled me in close to him. "And it's for your own good that you don't remember... You weren't right in the head, your thoughts were foggy, you thought the world was against you... Like some big conspiracy theory. You hurt Joel... You even hurt me..." I look down to the floor.
"I'm sorry..." I say.
"It's alright... What's done is done..." Zeke says, he put an arm around my waist and led me back to our room.
