Side note :
I'm planning on starting a new project! What do you think about that idea? It might be a fanfic, maybe a real story. Should I?
Comment below your opinion, please. Thanks!
Now, to the story! Enjoy!

Allen
It's twilight, a silver dawn of sorts. Sometimes, my neighbors call me a poet. And weird too, but that's irrelevant.
Sometimes, I think I see things on the horizon line, just out of render distance. I always say I'm hallucinating, but I doubt myself now. I'm seeing an army of all sorts of stuff. I see it every day. But it gets close, and abruptly disappears. I sit nervously. I pull up a wood slab and sit on it. I don't trust my eyes when I'm on guard duty at 12:00 p.m. It's wicked dark, and torchlight can only go so far. I wish our faction decided to add Dynamic Lighting, but no, they decide to go Vanilla. I don't like Vanilla. I prefer Chocolate. Haha. I'm hilarious.
I suddenly see a swarm of bats hurtling towards me at my guard post. Crap. I press my button, and it activates my piston contraption. It pushes up Dispensers, which spit out Arrows. Many of the Bats fall.
"Aah we're going down!" A Bat shrieks, before it slams into the fence around me, and tumbles into the ground.
I wonder why it spoke English, but I ignore it and start rapid bow-spamming. Hey, some mobs are intelligent to some extent 'k?
Finally, the swarm is over. I sit back down on my slab, my arms exhausted. My neighbor Sam rushes up the ladder.
"What the hell happened here?!" His voice is shot with panic.
I wave him off.
"Nothing. Just a frenzy of bats." I reply, lying against the Cobblestone wall.
He audibly sighs in relief.
"Dang. I heard a way too many Arrows being shot, and some screaming, so I storming here. I was insanely worried."
"Thanks for the concern." I soothe him with a smile.
He waves, and leaps back down the ladder. I refill my Dispenser with its Arrows, and treat myself to a nice succulent Apple.
Aah... I sit down, day done, and my arms exhausted.

The Next Morning
I wake up, and I immediately leap off the bed. Can't be late to work. I'm kind of a freak about being on time. I step out of my house, and head towards the gate of town. I'm a farmer, along with many other things. I press the button to request leave of the village. No response from the current guard on shift. Ugh. At least the server had the decency to have Bukkit plugins.
I sigh, and say in chat, "Hello? I need access outside to harvest the Wheat and whatnot. Care to give me leave?"
Someone presses the button eventually, and the gate lifts. Something darts in, and pierces my shoulder. I drop down, and I can't see anything else.

Author's Note
I hope you've noticed I like cliffhangers. Sadly, I need to stop soon, because the story'll need to have constant action. Sorry if you liked it. :(
