Running around the biggest tree in the backyard mom yelled to me from the porch "Ellis be careful by the woods and don't get hurt, I am going to pack up!" "Okay mom!" I responded running down to the woods.
It was an early fall afternoon at my aunts house and I was running in the front yard by the woods looking for Rickey, my favorite fluffy cat. Humming a song to myself i look into the woods. There were 2 things standing and watching me. "Jeremy? Auntie?" I said feeling something grabbing my arm from behind. "Jeremy, Auntie, I thought you were inside." I squeaked out clearly terrified of what is happening. I could see their breathing but they were abnormally tall.
I look in the direction of aunties country house contemplating with myself if I should run up there or stay down here and wait for mom and dad to drive the car down here. "I- I'll just wait for mom and dad." I pouted starting to feel something slowly make its way up my arm.
I dart my head to look at my arms and i quickly pull my sleeves all the way up to my shoulders. "There's nothin there" I squeek out a bit confused. I look back to the woods where the figures were, they were still there. Just watching me i was terrified, I couldnt move. I start to panick and don't feel the warm tears flowing down my cheeks until i heard the car drive down the long gravel driveway. I start to sob and sprint as fast as I can to the car not looking back, scared of what else I might see in those woods.
I guess my first mistake was going into the front yard. . .
