Chapter 5

Genji Pov

"where do you think?" she yells at Hanzo while unfolding her wings as fire circled around her.

I watchas the fire circled her making it impossible to see what was going on insidethe fire, as the fire slowly disappeared what stood in front of me I was notexpecting at all.

Hanzo Pov

As the fire disappeared, there stood a bird but not just a bird you'll see flying around it was the phoenix, although it was a lot smaller than I thought it would be.

"fathersaid the phoenix was bigger than any normal bird in the world this is possiblyeven smaller than a Pigeon, disappointing really" I said blankly looking downat the small fiery bird.

 Reader Pov

I unfolded my wings looking up at the oldest brother, opening my beak making a deafening screech, I watch as the brothers try plugging their ears to try and block some of the sound.

I close my beak folding my wings back in, I watch the brothers as they try and get their hearing back.

After a bit, they seem back to normal but they most likely can't hear much for the next few days.

I got some of the effect but not as bad as the brothers since I they were standing in front of me.

Since I got some of the effects I didn't hear the rushing foot steps coming down the stairs, the cell door swung open as guard's rush in with chains.

I was grabbed from behind by a guard who pinned my wings to my sides while a different guard bound something around my beak so I couldn't attack after getting the bound around my beak with a fight, they moved onto bounding my wings.

After at least 30 minutes of fighting the guards they finally got my wings bound, after that they put me down again they quickly left closing the cell door behind them.

Trying to unfold my wings I found out that I could only open them half way so I couldn't fly, I also found out that I couldn't attack using my beak but I could still talk.

Glaring at the brothers as I spoke, "can I be unbound now?" I ask with a bit of hope in my voice, "no" Hanzo stated like it was the most obvious thing.

"why not?" I ask, "you have to stay bound so you cannot attack us or anyone else" Genji said looking down at me.

"but I can't stay bound" I said almost yelling at them, "and why not?" Hanzo asked in lower voice, "If I stay bound like this I can't change back into my human form" I said making it sound like it was the most obvious thing.

"well then, I guess you'll have to stay in your bird form" Genji said with a flash of sadness in his eyes as he walked past me to leave, "I should go, but ill come visit you again" he said while whispering the last part so Hanzo couldn't hear.

As he left I heard him walk up the stairs, making sure he's gone before I speak.

"you don't understand I can't stay in my bird form long" I said looking back up at Hanzo, "and why not?" he asks.

"I can't because I never really used it much, so I'm not used to having all my power on me at once, I've only ever used this form for flying short distances and for quick a escape when I encounter a predator out in the forest" I said as I start to panic.

"and how is that my fault" he blankly said, "well it will be your fault when most of the Shimada clan dies" I said glaring at him.

"how would most of the Shimada clan die?" he asks with a demanding voice, "if I stay in this form to long my power will get to my head and I will lose control over my body killing anyone I see" I said fiercely.

Hope you enjoyed this chapter and sorry forposting late I finished the last chapter like 1 or 2 days before it actuallygot posted because I write the chapter on word first then just copy and past itinto the writing space when u make a new chapter and it takes so long for it toactually save so I'm sorry about that. And you can change into the phoenix thatis part of your power but like it said in the chapter you can't stay in theform for long, I also got tired of writing today so next chapter up soon!
