"You have to get up! We have a meeting with our agents in an hour!" Miranda screamed, grabbing my feet and pulling me off the bed.

I laughed and clawed fruitlessly at the white comforter before crashing to the floor.

"If you weren't my roommate, I would never be on time for anything," I said through a laugh.

Miranda just laughed and chucked a pillow at my head, walking out of my room.

I quickly brushed my hair and tied it into a high pony before changing into ripped boyfriend jeans and a white top. I slapped a pair of enormous black sunglasses over my eyes, hoping they would hide the dark circles that had formed due to a sleepless night of thinking about Calum.

"Hey!" I sang, walking into the large, white room and sitting down at a table next to Miranda and across from our agents, Kelsey and Bob.

"Hey girls. Great work at the fashion show last night. You guys looked amazing. You totally deserve the next few weeks of a break," Kelsey said with a tight smile.

"Completely. Just make sure you eat healthy and keep exercising. A break from work isn't a break from staying fit!" Bob said.

I rolled my eyes and laughed, leaning back in my chair and cracking open the mini bottle of Sanpellegrino sparkling water.

"So whats this unscheduled urgent meeting for?" Miranda asked.

Just then, none other than Calum Hood walked in with a small woman who I assumed was his agent.

I immediately tensed up.

"What the hell is he doing here?" Miranda asked in an irritated tone.

Calum glanced at me sheepishly and then looked down at his feet.

Kelsie furrowed her brows, somehow despite the botox, and opened her mouth.

"As you both probably know, Calum is in a band called Five Seconds of Summer. They're in between albums right now and really need ways to acquire publicity and attention from the media."

"Hell no! I refuse to do any business with him," Miranda snarled.

"Luckily you won't have to," Bob said, "we need him to make a deal with Gigi that requires a contract an absolute discretion."

Too shocked to speak, I stared at Bob, eyes wide open, begging him not to finish.

"Gigi, we are gonna need you to pretend to date Calum."

Miranda gasped and I suddenly found my voice.

"NO! What the fuck? This is absolutely not happening. I refuse to do ay business with him."

Kelsey took a deep breath. "Gigi, you need this publicity as much as he does. With the fashion show over and your break coming up, this will be great for you. I don't quite see what the issue is," she said.

"Kelsie, Bob, I'm so thankful for everything you guys have done for me, but there is just no way-", I began, before being cut off.

"Gigi, I'm sorry, but you simply don't have a choice. You signed the rights to your career over to us two years ago. You need this. This situation is not hard. The contract states that you two will simply live together and make public appearances," Kelsey states evenly.

I felt tears well up in my eyes. This was not happening.

Miranda gasped. "She has to live with him? What about me?"
