THE NEXT MORNING

i was woken up by the sunlight seeping through my windows. last night, I was so tired that I didn't even change into my pyjamas or shut the curtains. all I did was take my shoes off and put my hair into a bun, and now I look like a complete mess. not caring, I quickly put on my slippers and walked into the kitchen.

"mornin' sunshine!" somebody's loud, happy voice said from behind me. i rubbed my eyes and looked at them with my eyebrows furrowed.

"morning grayson," i grumbled. he took a deep breath and looked at me with a look on his face. "what?"

"you're clearly not a morning person then?" he joked. eventhough he's a bit too happy for me, it's better than waking up with two moody boys every morning. i shook my head and grabbed the milk out of the fridge.

"who is? of course, apart from you gray," i laughed and carried on making my breakfast. grabbing the cereal out of the cupboard, I started to wonder where the coffee was. "where's the coffee Grayson?"

"oh, I wouldn't worry about that. Maggie and Mahogany have gone out for that." he said, still engrossed in whatever he was doing on his laptop.

"you want some?" I asked, shaking the box of cereal at him. he nodded his head as I grabbed an extra bowl for him. "shit, the milks off."

"it's alright, I'll go get some from next door." Alex's voice rang through my ears. he came out of maggies room with his hair tousled and a white top and tracksuit bottoms on. he walked to the door and slammed it shut behind him.

"geez, did you hear him and Maggie last night?" Grayson chuckled. I raised my eyebrows at him and sat beside him at the table.

"no, what was going on?" I questioned. he shook his head and carried on typing on his laptop.

"gosh, it must've been about 2 and all you could hear was them two shouting at eachother out here. it was horrible. me and Mahogany eventually ended up out here pulling them apart." he continued. with a mouth full of cereal I scoffed, nearly choking on it in the process. "damn, you must've been flat out if you didn't hear that. so was Ethan though so."

"is he still sleeping?" I asked, getting a nod in response from Grayson. it was horrible eating cereal without milk so I decided to wait until Alex was back. "what you doing anyways?"

"I have an assignment due tomorrow and if I don't finish it then I'm basically screwed." he said, his eyes still focused on the screen infront of him. getting up from my chair, I heard the door slam just as I put my bowl on the side.

"coffees here. help yourselves." Maggie murmured before throwing herself on the sofa. I decided to leave her be because she didn't seem like she wanted even more people poking their noses in her business.

"I'm gonna go wake ethan up." I said to nobody in general. I got a muffled "ok" from Grayson and a "I don't care" from Maggie. I walked in Ethan and Graysons room and he was flat out. his mouth was open and I was sure he was drooling on his pillow. there were clothes strewn across the floor in his room and it was so messy I wasn't even sure how he could live in here. "Ethan!"

"what?" he mumbled in a sleepy voice. his eyes weren't open yet and his face was still pressed against the pillow. he must've thought I was Grayson or somebody. "piss off gray."
