I hope you all are still reading this and I'll try my best to post part II tomorrow. Happy Reading...

John looked at me with an expecting look in his eyes, “Who were you talking to, Katy?” He asked again, his voice coming out a lot firmer than it had only seconds before.

“Oh, it was just Shannon.” I lied with a perfect smiled stretched across my lips, masking the guilt I was trying to push away. He still looked confused and somewhat suspicious so I continued to explain, “I’m meeting up with her later today, it’s been a while since we last hung out.”

John shifted the position he was standing in, smiled and nodded. I sat up on the bed so I could see him better and tossed my phone into the pillows. John came closer and bent down to peck my lips quickly, I smiled up at him and fiddled with the bottom of his hoodie, “Your breakfast is gonna get cold.” His voice was softer now, his face no longer crinkled with confusion.

I nodded and let him pull me up off the bed by my arm and followed him downstairs into the kitchen. “Kitty NO!” I yelled through laughter as my cat devoured the last bit of bacon off of John’s plate, mine had already been licked clean. She looked up at me with wide eyes, took her bacon and bolted down a hallway somewhere. I turned to John to see him softly laughing and shaking his head, “Come on, I’ll take you to brunch.” He told me and began pulling off his hoodie to put something more presentable on.

We quickly got changed and headed to a small-secluded café that I go to all the time; we got to a table with no troubles and ordered our food. “So…” John started; I looked up at him to tell him he had my attention, “What are you and Shannon doing later?”

I froze for a second, my mind going blank before I regained composure and smiled, “I think we are just gonna see a movie or something.”

“What movie?” He pushed.

“I don’t know, I haven’t checked what they’re showing yet.” I lied for what felt like the 100th time that morning. John smiled and nodded but before he could say anything else two plates of chocolate chip pancakes appeared in front of us. I thanked the waiter and turned my attention to the food on my plate.

“Well since you’ll be out I might have some friends over, is that okay?”

“Sure” I replied after swallowing a mouthful of pancakes. We finished eating and headed home, talking about nothing in particular and laughing about the stupidest of things. When we got home I flopped down on the couch and groaned, “I’m so full!” After saying that Kitty jumped up next to me and flopped down on her back so her big belly was poking out. John laughed when he walked in and took a photo of us.

“HEY!” I called out but didn’t move, “You better not put that on the internet.” I warned.

“Whoops.” I heard John mutter sarcastically and look up from his phone with an evil grin on his face.

I quickly pulled my phone out of my bra and opened twitter. Sure enough the picture of me and Kitty was there, captioned with some lame comment about his girls eating too much. I retweeted it and called him an asshole, “Come here!” I called out and patted the space next to me; he came over and sat practically on top of me. I pulled his lips onto mine and ran my hands through his perfectly messy hair; he pulled my body in closer and deepened the kiss. John pulled my shirt over my head and quickly found my lips again as he began unbuttoning my jeans. I pulled his shirt over his head and kicked my jeans off my feet; John began kissing and sucking on my neck as I trailed my fingers lightly up and down his back.

Suddenly John’s phone rang and we both jumped apart panting, “It's my mom, I’ve gotta answer it.” He told me apologetically. I smiled and let him answer it; I grabbed my phone off the couch noticing a new text from Kelsey.

“Hey, can you come over? I wanna see you again. Xx Kels"

I smiled and replied, telling her I would be there in 20 minutes and quickly re-dressed myself. John was in the kitchen still on the phone with his mom, I walked up behind him and heard him say, “I love her a lot mom, so much, I don’t know what I’d do without her.”

Suddenly the guilt washed over me, I hugged him from behind and he told his mom to hang on a second, “I’m heading over to Shannon’s, I’ll see you later.” I told him. He nodded and smiled and gave me a quick kiss, “love you.” He murmured, I said it back and quickly ran out the door before he could ask any more questions.

Arriving at Kelsey’s place five minutes early, I sat in my car until I was five minutes late, stepping outside just before I allowed my mind to question why I was here. I made sure I looked okay in the reflection of my phone before knocking on Kelsey’s door, she answered within seconds and I found myself lost deep in her eyes. “Hey.” I managed to breathe out.

Kelsey smiled wide and opened the door wider, pulling me inside with her, “Hi.” She whispered back and pulled my lips into hers. My heart fluttered and I smiled into the kiss, “I missed you.” She added with her mouth only millimetres away from mine.

“I missed you too Kels.” I told her as I tucked some of her hair behind her ear, “So much.”

I wasn’t sure if I meant just from the night spent apart, or from the many years without her. Either way I missed her and those feelings weren’t going away any time soon.

---John's Point of View---

30 minutes after Katy left I had ordered a couple pizzas and invited some friends over, there was a knock at my apartment door, I got up and answered it to find Shannon Woodward smiling up at me.

“Hey John, is Katy here? I haven’t spoken to her in ages.” She asked still smiling.

I was about to tell her no, that she’s out with a friend, but I realized that she was supposed to be out with Shannon. “She told me she called you this morning, she said you two were gonna go out to watch a movie or something…” I trailed off at the end not wanting to believe that Katy could lie to me.

Shannon looked confused, “I haven’t spoken to her in three or four days, is there anywhere else she could be?”

I shook my head, Katy had lied straight to my face, she always told me how much she hated lying and sneaking around. I invited Shannon inside and closed the door behind her. Shannon pulled out her phone and called Katy’s number, after the fourth ring she picked up and I listened eagerly to what she had to say.

---Katy's Point of View---

“Hey Shan!” I said cheerfully into the phone, Kelsey had fallen asleep during the movie we were watching.

“Hi Kate, where are you, I haven’t seen you in ages!” Shannon replied.

I lied and told her I was with John in his apartment in New York. The line went silent for a while and I could hear Shannon talking to someone.

“Really?” She questioned sounding somewhat hurt, “Because I came to New York for work and I’m sitting in John’s apartment right now with no Katy in it.”

I gasped and looked down at Kelsey sleeping soundly on my lap, Shannon’s voice turned cold, “Where are you Katy?”

My eyes watered as realization and reality hit me.

How am I gonna get out of this?
