"Can you hear me?" A pale boy with blue hair was in front of my face.

"Can you hear me?" He repeated. I moved my lips, but no sound came out. He shook his head and put his arm under my back. He put his other arm under my knees.

He looked at me and then stood up, carrying me bridal style.

"Everything is going to be okay."

I heard gentle beeping. Light flooded my eyelids and I opened my eyes. It was horribly bright. When my vision finally adjusted, I saw white walls and white tile floors.

I was in some sort of hospital gown, my right leg lifted by a tarp. My left a was in a cast. My left ankle was in a brace, and had an ice pack on top of it.

I looked around. There was an IV pump in my arm. My bedside table had a small lamp and some water. There was a blue door with a window in it to the right of me.

The door suddenly opened, revealing a plump nurse with a tray of food. She glanced at me, and almost dropped the food. She set down the tray on a table and moved towards me.

"Hello honey. How do you feel?" She smiled warmly.

"Where am I?" My voice was hoarse and scratchy. The nurse handed me some water and made the bed move, so I was sitting up more. I sipped the water, staring at her.

"You're in the hospital sweetheart." She said calmly. She reached next to the bed and pulled up a pull-out tray. She set the food on it.

"What happened?" I was interrogating the woman now, demanding answers.
She looked around, avoiding my gaze.

"Please."

She looked back at me. "You were in a car accident, honey." She looked around again. "You were on your motorcycle, driving on some road out in the country. A truck turned the corner and slammed into you. The driver was drunk, and ran over you twice."

"Twice?"
"Twice."

"You were out there for at least an hour. A boy named Kacey eventually found you and brought you here. You've been in a coma for two months." She smiled, trying to lighten the moment.

"Oh.." I trailed off, thinking about myself. "Where are my parents?"

The nurse looked away, avoiding my eyes. "Miss?" She looked back at me with pity in her eyes. "They haven't come to visit. I'm so sorry darling."

"They didn't come?" I could barely er the words out. Tears formed in my eyes and bubbled down my cheeks. "No, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry (name)."

The tears were flowing uncontrollably now. "WHY?!" I was screaming. "WHY AREN'T THEY HERE?! DO THEY EVEN CARE ABOUT ME? I COULD HAVE DIED AND THEY.. ANY THEY JUST LEFT ME FOR DEAD!"

The nurse look panicked. "Please calm down-" "YOU CALM DOWN! I'M SURE YOU HAVE A FAMILY THAT CARED ABOUT YOU! THEY ABANDONED ME!"

My vision was blurry with tears. "They.. didn't even come.. to visit."
