Kacey hobbled back to his bed, a red tomato he was.
I started to think of my dream last night, questioning why I am still alive.
'How'd I survive? Was I meant for something that needed me alive?'
"What are you thinking about?" Kacey asked me, turning his head toward my bed.
"N-Nothing!" I stutter.
"You were thinking of something. Your face was confused." He said, drinking some water he had.
"I was wondering how I'm still alive. I was ran over twice by a truck, left out on the road, and I'm still alive. How is that possible? Does this mean I actually have a purpose?"
"What? Everyone has a purpose! You should me never think that! Know that people love you."

"What? Everyone has a purpose! You should never think that! Know that people love you." I said, my voice softening.
"I, love you..." I whispered.
"What was that?" She asked.
"N-Nothing!"
"Okay."

"...And the girl didn't know about his feelings. But the boy thought of her as..." I stared at (name). Why is she so perfect?
"I think t-thats enough..." I said, setting the the book on the bedside table.
"Goodnight."
"Goodnight." I returned the saying, then I turned off the lamp beside me. She did the same.
I was standing, waiting for (name) to come to the cherry tree. Today would be the day I confessed to her. I really did love her.
I saw (name) walking to the tree.
'Keep your cool. You got this, Kacey.'
"Kacey? Are you who wanted to see me here?" She asked, getting closer. She stopped and as I saw the pedals fall in her face, she was even more beautiful.
"(name), s-since the day I met you..." I inhaled. "When I met you, you always had a s-smile that cheered me up on the darkest days. I love to comfort you and hang out with you, protecting you. I've..."
She cut me off with a kiss.
Suddenly, I woke up. I turned my head and looked at (name). She was snuggled up in her blanket, snoring softly.
'Just a dream.'
