Raven opened her eyes, and the world spun. Standing in front of her was the king himself.

"Raven?" He asked, blinking. She couldn't bring herself to move or say anything. He was right there. Ten feet in front of her.

Lucifer's eyes drifted slowly to Dean and his face developed into a scowl. "You son of a-"

"I mean no harm." He held his hands up in surrender.

"What do you mean then?" Lucifer asked, looking at Dean as if he was a suspected murderer. Not scared, but more like a 'eww freak' kind of look.

Dean cleared his throat. "There is a threat to the throne, and we kind of need your-"

"Why didn't you tell me you had the key before?" Raven interrupted Dean, her eyes watering. "After all that time of you saying 'we're doing the best we can' and 'I wish I could help,' you had the key all along."

Dean's eyes softened. "Raven-"

"Why?" A tear slipped down her face. "You know how broken I became. How broken I am. And you only let him out when you needed help!"

Lucifer cleared his throat. "Him and Sam were the people who put me down there in the first place."

Raven's eyes flooded with tears, and it only lead her to think about how human they had made her two years ago. Two years of blind faith that her king would come back and rule his kingdom.

"Dean, it is time for you to go." She croaked, her throat tight.

"But-"

"Please." She begged. "Before I do something horrible."

He looked down at his feet, but turned around to walk away. She watched him leave. And it was one of the worst feelings.

"You've always had a problem, you know." Lucifer said behind her. She turned, wiping her face with the back of her hand.

"I beg your pardon?"

"You were the last demon of creation." He said, slowly walking up to her. "The final draft. You didn't turn out the way I expected. You, Raven, were more human than demon."

She sniffed. "What's wrong with having a little human in you?"

He raised an eyebrow. "You're the queen of hell, are you not?"

She nodded.

"Well," He said, pursing his lips. "I have always been afraid of you becoming queen. Other demons might have manipulated you to get higher positions."

"You warned me about that, and I didn't let my emotions come before business." She looked at the trail Dean walked down when he left.

There was silence between the fallen angel and the demon for a moment. Sharp, earsplitting silence.

"Humans are flawed, you know." Lucifer said blandly. "They let their emotions manipulate them."

"I was told God made them for that reason." Raven swallowed hard. Small talk. He's creating small talk.

"The reason I was thrown out of heaven was because of those fools." He turned away. "Father said to love them more than him. I said that I could love no one more than him, and he kicked me out."
