Moana's POV

The night was long and tiring. "Sis are you alright?" Cassie asks as she jumps down from the sail.

"How long were you up there and why were you up there?"

"It's called scouting your area Mo. I learned it myself."

"When did you have time... Never mind."

"Answered your own question?"

"Kinda, but at the same time... no. How did you know about scouting?"

"I learned it from some of the warriors I would hang around."

"Oh so you never took a boat out?"

"No, but I should've." she frowns.

"So did you ever find out answer to your question?"

"Nope, but Gramma Tala said I'd find it on this trip."

"Oh nice." she laid down and I follow. The next morning we were lost, and we discovered Heihei. "Great!" We stayed there until a large storm wrecked our canoe.

I wake up and see we were all laying on the shore of a rocky island. "Really? I ask for help and you wreck my boat?" I go to kick the water but it moves, and I fall on the ground. "Fish pee in you!"

"Hey keep it down! You'll scare off anything that's on this to my piece of shit island." Cassie replied.

"Oh okay... Cassie look at the rock behind you." We look as we see the hook shaped tally marks.

"Maui." Cassie whispers as I stood next to her. Out of the corner of my eye, I see her grab a hold of her necklace, Gramma Tala gave her.

Maui's POV

"Hey Maui, come look at this." Oro pointed. I stood and looked in the direction of his finger. "Two good looking girls. One even had a necklace with your hook on it."

"That isn't my hook. Mine is so much bigger. I wonder why they're here." I huff.

"Maybe they're here because their boat was caught in that storm."

"Boat?" I walk up and go looking. "BOAT!!!" I exclaim as I pick it up. "The Gods have given me a.... Ahhhhhhhhh!" I drop the boat as I see two females under it. I go to pick it up and only see a chicken's head. Ooo lunch. I think.

I hear someone clear their throat behind me. "Maui shapeshifter demigod of the wind and sea. I am Moana of..."

"Hero of men."

"What?"

"It's actually Maui shapeshifter demigod of the wind and sea hero of men. I interrupted from the top hero of men... Go."

"I am Mo..."

"Sorry sorry and women. Men and women both all. Not a guy girl thing y'know Maui is a hero to all... You're doing great"

"What? No I'm here to..."

"Of course of course yes yes yes yes yes Maui always has time for his fans." I grab her oar and the chicken. "When you use a bird to write with... It's called tweeting." I give it to her and smile. "I know it's not everyday you get to meet your hero." She hits me in my gut and grabs my ear.

"You are not my hero." She growls into my ear. "And I am not here so you can sign my oar. I'm here because you stole the heart of Te Fiti. You will board my boat. Sail across the sea and put it back." She said as she pulled on my ear.

"Um yeah it almost sounded like you don't like me, which is impossible because I got stuck here for a thousand years trying to get the heart as a gift for you mortals. So you can have the power to create life itself. Yeah so what I believe what you were trying to say was thank you."

"Thank you?"

"You're welcome."

"What? No no no I I didn't I I wasn't I..."

"Okay okay I see what's happening here. You're face to face  with greatness, and it's strange You don't even know how you feel It's adorable Well, it's nice to see that humans never change Open your eyes, let's begin Yes, it's really me, it's Maui: breathe it in! I know it's a lot: the hair, the bod!" I sang nudging the taller female." When you're staring at a demi-god." I sing winking at her.

" What can I say except you're welcome For the tides, the sun, the sky Hey, it's okay, it's okay You're welcome I'm just an ordinary demi-guy Hey! What has two thumbs that pulled up the sky When you were waddling yay high This guy! When the nights got cold Who stole you fire from down below You're lookin' at him, yo Oh, also I lassoed the sun You're welcome!
To stretch the days and bring you fun Also I harnessed the breeze
You're welcome!
To fill your sails and shake your trees
So what can I say except you're welcome
For the islands I pulled from the sea
There's no need to pray, it's okay
You're welcome!
Ha, I guess it's just my way of being me
You're welcome!
You're welcome!
Well, come to think of it
Kid, honestly I can go on and on
I can explain every natural phenomenon
The tide, the grass, the ground, oh
That was Maui just messing around
I killed an eel
I buried its guts
Sprouted a tree, now you got coconuts
What's the lesson
What is the take-away
Don't mess with Maui when he's on the break-away
And the tapestry here on my skin
Is a map of the victories I win
Look where I've been
I make everything happen
Look at that mini-Maui just tippity-tappin'
Well, anyway let me say you're welcome
For the wonderful world you know
Hey, it's okay, it's okay
You're welcome!
Well, come to think of it, I gotta go
Hey, it's your day to say you're welcome
'Cause I'm gonna need that boat
I'm sailing away, away
You're welcome!
'Cause Maui can do anything but float
You're welcome!
You're welcome!
And thank you" I slam the rock in the entrance.

"Really Maui?" Oro asks me.

"Yes now come on it's time to get going. Time to get your spears back and my hook."

"Hey that wasn't nice to do to my sisters." I look and see another female.

"Ugh really another one?" I ask. Oro and Tu shrug their shoulders and look at me. "Come on let's go. She won't do anything." I say walking past the chicken. "Boat snack!" I say and make my way to the boat. Oro and Tu join me. "Good ridens you pile of pebbles. Of don't give me that it's a lovely cave. They're gonna love it. And I'm gonna love you... In my belly. Now let's fatten you up drumstick." I give the chicken some food and he pecks at the boat... Really?

I hear shouting and see the smaller girl go and jump, belly flopping into the water. The taller one jumps and... Makes it. "Impressive." She growls as she sits down. "I could watch that all day... Okay enjoy the island." I say to the smaller one and sail off.

Moana's POV

I start to swim, but the water takes me to the boat and sets me on it. "Did not see that coming." I turn around and my hair gets in my face.

"I am moan of Montunui. This is my canoe and you will journey to Te..." He throws me off the canoe and the water helps me back up.

"And she's back."

"I am moan of Montunui..." He stops the boat suddenly and I fall off. Again the water helps back up.

"It was Moana right?"
