shining night

high school.... again...

             we all got out of the cars, anticipating all the stares. if i was still human i would be blushing a deep, deep crimson. we listened to them all whisper about us thinking we cant hear them. " dude! look at the  new girls!" " i know! i bet you $20 i could get one!" " your on! they would never go for you! there way out of your league!" gross. what a great way to start off. the look on edard's face told me that there was a lot of other thoughts like this. some of me i guess because his arms found there way around my waist, marking me his. i raped my arm around his as well and let down my shield ' its OK honey. i only have eyes for you!' obviously it helped. his face turned into a smile. i gave him a little peck on the lips and heard a bunch of  disappointed sighs. 'there now everyone knows I'm yours and your mine' i said in my thoughts. he smiled even bigger, apparently there thoughts were amusing now. " come on guys we don't want to be late and we still need to get our schedules!" Alice whined. with that we walked to the main office to get our stuff. of course the main office was on the other side of the school. we walked in and at the counter was a lady in her mid 40's waiting for the new students. a.k.a us.

   "oh you must be the new students. the Cullen's?" she asked sweetly. she looked around at all of us for a minute, being completely dazzled by us. " yep! that's us!" Alice squeaked, still bouncing from excitement. " well there sure are a lot of you" she said . " welcome to glen-brook! here are your schedules. um.... lets see... Alice Cullen.. Edward Cullen.. and Emmett Cullen... Rosalie hale.... jasper hale... and Isabella hale" she called off handing them to us. i was surprised when she said my last name was hale, but i guess they didn't want me to be the only one with a different last name." thanks. have a nice day." Alice said walking out of the office with us following.

    turns out me and Edward had every class together, wonder how that happened, and we all had lunch together. Alice was in  most of our classes but she also had 3 with jasper, and rose and Emmett had one class with us besides lunch. we all went our separate ways to our classes. me, Edward, and Alice had English first. we heard all the whispers as we made our way in to the class and to the back rows that were open. i didn't realize how hard this was going to be. being this close to humans all day every week. the burning feeling flashed down my throat with every breath, while Edward and Alice seemed perfectly at ease. i was about to let me shield down to talk to Edward when Alice went into a vision. when it was over they both looked at me with worried/ sympathetic eyes. Edward started rubbing small comforting circles with his thumb on the back of  my hand.

    English took forever! but once it was over the rest of the day went by in a flash. before i knew it it was lunch time, 6th period. me and Edward decide we wanted to go see Nessie. i was thankful he agreed. i don't think i would have been able to sit in the cafeteria with all the humans today. maybe tomorrow but I'm pushing it today as it was. we decided to run home because it was faster then driving. we reached the house in no time and Nessie was sitting in the living room with Esme watching t.v. As soon as she saw us she came running. when she reached us i scoped her up and gave her a hug and kiss on the forehead before giving her to Edward. we spent half an hour at the house then had to leave. Edward and i wanted to hunt be for we go back to school, mostly me. 

    we got back to school just as 6th period ended. giving us just enough time to get to class. we had biology. just us. we walked in holding hands and went to an empty lab table in the way back. ' just like old times'i thought to Edward. he laughed and i started going thought the memory's of old times withe my shield down for him to see.

    the rest of the day was over in a flash. thank god! we all meet in the parking lot by our cars, got in, and drove home as fast as we could. it  was a long day and everyone just wanted to get home where they didn't have to pretended to be human. when we got hoe everyone went to do their own things. Alice and jasper went to hunt, rose and Emmett went to do something i didn't want to know, and me and Edward took Nessie to our meadow to run around in the flowers, it was one of her favorite things to do. that's were we saw them. that's were they....
