prologue

   

    Alex Standall sat in the hospital room,anticipating his entire future.He was only seventeen he couldn't have a kid!He didn't even know that Hannah was pregnant!And maybe it wasn't his anyway,it could have been Bryce's maybe.But looking at the unnamed baby,it was the spitting image of Alex.His blonde hair,unlike Hannah's or Bryce's brown,wavy hair.His bright blue eyes.It had to be his.The thought made Alex sick.What would his dad say?Honestly,what wouldn't his dad say.Alex felt a cold tear roll down his pale cheek,he quickly wiped it away and stared at the baby girl.She was beautiful without a doubt.She was perfectly mixed equal parts of Hannah and Alex.The nurse entered the room with a clipboard and a look that confused Alex.

   "Hey,honey.I'm Marsha.I have the test results back!Now there are two options here.We can either tell you know the results or we can send a copy of the results to your house,we could also give you a copy here if you'd like."

  "Uhm,can I get a copy here and can you tell me now?" Alex asked,his voice sounded curious yet he knew there was no way he wasn't the father.His mind raced with a thousand thoughts at once.

"Well,Alex.You can call yourself a dad.The baby's birth date is March 28th,2017."the nurse said all too happily.

"Oh my god." Alex quietly said while his thoughts drowned out the nurse's voice and his daughter's babbles.He stood up and reached his hand toward the door handle.He clicked open the door and he began to sprint down the hall and down five flights of stairs.He didn't care about how he looked to other people he just needed to get out.He ran out the doors and he kept running until he didn't know where to go.He fell down on the concrete ground,sobbing.He had no idea where he was but he couldn't stop his tears long enough to figure it out.Soon he heard a voice.

  "Alex?Whats wrong,dude?" said Jessica Davis' all too familiar voice.

 "D-Dad.Baby.H-Hannah.M-me." was all he could stammer out.He didn't know what was going on all he knew was that he needed somebody,a friend,anybody.Jessica pulled him off the ground and walked him to her house while he continued weeping.She led Alex up the stairs and into her room.

 "Hey,I'm going to get you something to drink okay?Water?Soda?" she asked him sympathetically.

"Water." he weakly stammered out.He stared blankly at the wall.Not knowing what to think.Soon Jess came back with his water he sat in silence and drank it.Tears falling slowly down his cheek.He wouldn't be able to take care of a daughter,he could barely take care of himself.

                                                               -2 Day Timelapse-

   "Alex Standall!Get down here,now!" Alex's dad yelled in a tone Alex had never heard before.He knew he was in for trouble.It had been two days and he tried to push any thoughts of the baby out his head but it wasn't working.He had been thinking of baby names even.Ugh.Not that he'd need them.He imagined if he'd not go back for the baby they'd eventually just put her up for adoption.

 "Yes,father."Alex answered.He was ready for the certain doom that was about to be inflicted upon him.

  "What is this.And don't you dare lie to me Alex." he plopped down the envelope from the hospital containing the results.Alex stared at it.Speechless.What would he do now?

"Pack a bag.I want you out my house by tomorrow at 10:00am."
