  "Ugh.What will I do with you,Lotti?" Alex asked his daughter.The three year high school reunion was in two hours and his daughter,Charlotte was getting chocolate in her dress.

 "I don't know,daddy."she said to her dad with a cute smile.Her blonde hair swinging around in two long ponytails.A pink and green bow on both.Alex smiled at his beautiful daughter.He watched her playing around until his phone vibrated with a new text from his buddy and long time crush,Justin Foley.Sure they'd been friends for a while but Alex always wanted more than that.Alex his self identified as bisexual while he was sure that Justin was straight..

Justin had never seen Charlotte before.And he hadn't seen Alex in two years.Alex was nervous beyond belief.Yes,they were adults now but Alex still had a huge crush on Justin.Everything was so different once high school ended.Of course Alex didn't get to graduate he did start taking online classes to help him out so he could finally get a stable job.Bryce finally went to jail and won't be getting out for at least fifteen years.It made basically everybody happy that he wouldn't be getting out any time soon.

  Alex put Charlotte in her car seat and they began to drive to Liberty High.

   Justin

      Justin felt his heart flutter at hearing that Lex would be coming to the reunion.Lex and Justin were good friends in high school but Justin had a crush on him for a while and he still does.Everybody thinks that he is straight.However Justin knew he was gay since the eighth grade.Lex was bisexual so at least he had a chance.

  'God he looks adorable.And look at Char.She is so beautiful.Ugh.I want him.He is so beautiful.So..Alex.' Thought Justin to his self.He was totally staring at Alex but he didn't care.All he wanted was to kiss him,or even just hold his hand.

 Justin walked over to Alex.

  "Hey,Lexi" he said in a shy tone.He was beyond nervous but he was determined not to show it.

 "Oh my god!Justy!" Alex screamed happily.He shoved himself into Justin's grip.Justin's cheeks went a light pink shade and he hoped that was as colored as they'd go.He released Alex and looked down at Charlotte.

 "Wow.She's so beautiful."Justin said."Obviously,she doesn't get that from you" he added in playfully.

 "Oh shut up.You know I'm adorable." Alex said to him,sounding more serious than he intended.He started going dark red when he heard how it came out.

"Of course I do."Justin said leaving Alex red and confused.

"I-I'm going to the bathroom,can you watch Char for me?" Alex asked.

"Yeah,no worries."Justin said,taking the child out of Alex's arms.

Alex

   Alex hurried himself to the restroom.The scent of the Liberty High halls came back and punched him in the face.All he could feel was confused.He hated Justin Foley for the feelings he forced on him.He hated Justin for making him feel false hope for something more than a friendship.He hated Justin for already getting so close to Charlotte.And most of all,he hated Justin for not feeling the same.But Alex could never be mad at him for long.Especially after all that they had been through together.After all the nights Justin spent at his house.The secret things that they'd told each other.The way he had been falling for Justin slowly for the last three years.The way Justin had his back after he made the best and worst mistake of his life,Hannah Baker.

  Hannah Baker wasn't a bad kid.Sure,she was drama and she sure was broken without a doubt, but she wasn't bad.One night at one of Jessica's parties.Alex always hated those but him being deemed "popular" he had to go.Everybody had been drinking that night,it was a Jessica party,it was nothing more thank expected.Routine even.One thing led to another and Alex and Hannah were all over each other.They didn't know what they were doing.They were just drunk teens that wanted to get back at Jessica Davis.Alex was mad at Jessica for leaving him and blaming it on Hannah.Hannah was mad at Jessica for blaming her and leaving when she needed her the most.So they did it.They got back at her.

   They never intended for a pregnancy.They didn't even plan on doing anything more than platonic or having a relationship.Now,three years later Hannah is dead and Alex has a daughter.At first he was mad.Mad he didn't know.Mad Hannah didn't plan on telling him.Mad she didn't even put it on his tape.Just mad at his self for doing something so stupid that didn't matter.Mad he can barely provide for his amazing daughter.Mad he didn't even love Hannah but loves her daughter.

 Alex pressed his body against the cool metal of the stall door,letting the lock press into his small stomach.Justin always said to him that he needed to eat more because he was so skinny and around ten pounds underweight.Alex didn't see it of course.If anything,Alex thought he was nearly overweight.He didn't necessarily have an eating disorder.He would skip a meal or two every now and then but after Charlotte,he straightened out.The poor baby needed him.He was 20 years old and only 116 pounds.He looked so much smaller.

  Alex felt the warm tears run down his cold face.It had been ten minutes.He knew that Justin would be getting suspicious if he didn't get back soon.He let the rest of his tears fall and wiped his face.He stared in the mirror for a long time.He splashed his somehow even paler face with icy water,trying his best to cover up any traces of his tears.His eyes were red,he figured to just blame it on allergies if the subject came up.

Justin

It had been at least fifteen minutes.Where was Lexi?Justin sat down in a chair with the beautiful baby girl in his lap,babbling and talking to herself while watching some silly show on his cellphone.Soon,Alex emerged from the bathroom.Justin knew the face all too well.Alex look paler than usual,sickly pale.Not his usual cute pale.His usually bright blue eyes looked a sickish gray color.And even somehow,he looked skinnier.Justin's face fell automatically.The bright strobe lights made him look worse.Alex walked over to Justin.

  "Hey,Justy,I don't feel to good." Alex said,he felt a huge wave of anxiety overcome him.He felt lightheaded and everything was blurry.He let the waves washing over his brain drown out the crowd around him.All he heard was Justin.

  "Alex?What's wrong?" 

And then silence and the blurs replaced themselves with a darkening image of Justin and Char.And at that moment,Alex knew they were the two he would fight this for.
