Chapter Five: The Lost But Found

I was at my desk working when Monroe came up, She told me since I was still technically a human I have to call her a "pet name" or else i'll be curse. "Hey kid, I got some nifty info for you." "What if it?" I asked interested. "Word on the street is that the girl your looking for is with "his" nephew." "Who's that?" She motioned toward the door it took me a moment to realized who she was talking about, "Wait, I didn't know you guys can-" I paused not knowing how to word it, "Oh, some of us can you just have to never been a human originally." Then is he really his nephew?" "Oh no. He's just a really powerful so "he", she motion toward the door, took him under his wing." "Oh. I said unsure. How am I going to get Tangi back? I sighed then asked her, Where can I find him?" She gave a surprised look asking, "You're serious!?" "She's my friend! I made I promise! As I told her this she smirked, "Okay, I'll tell you but then you'll own me." She told me as I rolled my eyes telling her, "Fine." After she gave me instructions I thanked her then made my way there. Once there I knocked on the door to see a handsome man answer it, "I-um- I'm looking for Tangi?" He glared at me with hate before piking me up by the throat I was scared that I was going to die but before anything could happen a familiar voice rang out, "Aku stop!" To my joy it was Tangi she looked fine. "Tangi!" I cried her name happily as he let me go before talking to her. She then helped me up and brought me inside, soon enough we started talking. "I'm so happy to see you!" She told me with joy as I smiled telling her, "Me too!" I've been looking for you forever." We started telling stories of our time hell and her time in heaven. "That's so cool. I told her then added, Hey Tangi, have you ever thought about leaving here? You know go back, back home to your family?" She gives me a sad look then said with hope, "Of course, I thought of going back that's why Amatsu is trying to find a way for me to get back home." I was worried because I didn't really trust him but if Tangi said he was going to do then that for her then I guess I just have to take her word for it. Soon I had to get back to work as well as return to Monroe. We exchange goodbyes then hugged and I left her but before I left I was stopped by a guy around our age, he looked a bit like Taru and  suddenly he asked me, "You there, I need you to do me a favor." I was taken back by this, "Why should I?" I asked him, "It's about Tangi." I was now interested, "What about her?" I asked defensive. "I know that Amatsu hasn't been honest in the past so I need you to look around to see what's his plan for her." I thought about it for a moment from my time in hell, Demons love to swindle anything. Even the most pathetic ones could trick someone but why is he asking me for help? "What do you get out of this?" "Besides, knowing that I was right about him the whole time? I guess, Tangi's safety?" He answered unsure I was still a bit skeptical, "Why can't you do it?" "We despise each other and he's just waiting for a reason to kill me. You're a better choice since you have a sort of protection with the demon." I sighed telling him, "I'll see what I can do." "Excellent." He told me but before I left I asked him, "Are you a demon?" "No, He answered, Now get to work."
