*One month later*

"Hurry!", I yell to Gina.
She decided to help me pick out the food for the wedding. Harry is still recovering from the accident, and our wedding was postponed until summer.
Honestly, I'm glad. I want Harry to be 100% better, and I would love to have a summer wedding.
"What time do we have to leave?", she yells from the bathroom.
"Now!", I yell back. She huffs and walks out of the bathroom with perfectly curled hair.
We are already 30 minutes late, so we need to get there as soon as possible.
"What kind of theme do you want for the food?", she asks as we get into the car.
I think about it, and reply, "Casual. Maybe a little bit of everything".
Gina nods her head in agreement and we back out of the driveway.
~~~
"How are you feeling?", I ask Harry. We just returned from tasting the food, and Harry's watching a soccer game.
He shrugs and smiles.
"Better".
I feel terrible for all he has gone through, but he is a true trooper.
"I get my cast off next week", he replies, pointing to the blue cast around his leg.
"Really? That's great!", I reply.
He was supposed to have the cast on till the wedding, but his bones are healing quickly.
"I can't wait to get it off so I can marry my beautiful fiancé", Harry says.
I smile at his cheeky remark and kiss his cheek.
"I'm sorry you have to go through all of this".
He shrugs and grabs my hand.
"It's not your fault".
I nod and hear my name being called from the next room.
"Be back in a second", I tell him.
I walk to the kitchen to find Gina holding her cell phone. Her face is twisted in shock, and I'm scared to ask what is wrong.
"Your mom..", she says.
"What about her?", I ask in panic.
Gina puts her head down and hands me the phone. I grab it from her hand and slowly lift it to my ear.
"Hello?"
"Yes, Miss Green?"
"Yes?", I say.
"Your mother is not well. She is here, in the hospital".
~~~
"Can you please tell me where Nicole Green's room is?", I ask the receptionist.
She nods and says, "188".
"Thank you", I reply before running down the hall, Gina following behind.
"Mom?", I say, walking into the small hospital room.
"Hi dear", she whispers from the bed.
I look to see Steve next to her bed with tears in his eyes.
"What's wrong? Why is she here?", I ask him.
He shakes his head slowly and sighs.
"She had a heart attack", he says.
His voice cracks at the end, causing a tear to roll down my cheek.
"Can I speak with her alone for a second?", I ask him.
He nods and stands from the chair, Gina leading him out of the room.
"Hi mom", I say, grabbing her fragile hand.
She smiles up at me and rubs my hand.
"Don't be sad honey. I'm fine", she says.
I nod and brush the tears from my cheeks.
"I'm so sorry", I say.
"I should never have told you to not come to the wedding. I want you to be there".
She nods and sighs.
"I'm sorry as well. I looked at Harry in a different light, and realized he is nothing like your father. He is so much more".
This brings tears to my eyes as I lean down and hug my mother.
"I love you mom".
"I love you too Paisley".
~~~
"What happened?", Harry asks when I return home.
"Heart attack. She's fine now. They're releasing her tomorrow", I tell him.
He engulfs me in a hug, and kisses the top of my head.
"I'm sorry babe".
I nod into his chest and look up to his green eyes.
"Why does this always happen to us?".
Harry sighs and grabs my waist.
"I don't know. I really don't know".
