Chapter Six

On a second note the only thing I own is the story line and I'm _____ (the reader insert character).

Chapter Six

My nerves kept rising with each step that made me come closer to the two large wooden doors that held my fate as being a princess. Aerith was right when she told informed me that Leon and Vincent would be my 'escorts' or 'knights' as they called themselves. I tried talking to them once but they shushed me with looks saying 'not now'. All I wanted to do was ask them about the day I went missing, but I shoved it back on my priorities list and kept walking.

Stepping up to the doors I took a deep breath and pushed my anxiety away. Not normal for me, but I'm trying new things. I mean it is a new life after all and I've already made friends, so that's one step in the right direction. Right?

"Welcome home, Milady." Two men positioned at the large doors chorused as they gave light bows. Both men shared striking red eyes but different hair. One had black hair that framed his face nicely while the other had shaggy silver hair. The silver haired man only gave a fleeting smile, where as his partner held onto his small yet mischievous one.

"Thank you." I curtsied the way that Aerith had shown me how to. Lifting my skirt up just a little above the toes and bending my knees a little.

The two men started opening the doors, once we had straightened out, allowing me to go through followed by Leon and Vincent and then themselves. The two men stopped as soon as the doors closed all the way. I kept moving until I came to a stop next to my Dad. Keeping my face down so that people couldn't see me helped me keep my nerves settled until I heard the crowd cheer as I was announced.

"People of Archadia! I know it has been a very long time since we celebrated and I apologize for that. We have found something that is very dear to us and that has been lost to us. It is now time for us to celebrate. My People, I return your Princess back to you!" He finished his surprisingly short speech turning the attention to me. The crowd below gasped in amazement. Remembering that it was now my time, I took a step forward at the same time as pulling my hood down to my shoulders. If I thought the crowd was loud before I was wrong.

Now being able to see the people gathered below I realized that they weren't all human, some were a bright green or red lizard looking creature where as some where giant pig like ones. The crowed cheered until I started to speak.

"Thank you all for giving me such a grand welcoming. I am sorry that I have been away for so long. As to where I have been or how it came to be, I have no idea. All I know is that I am home again, and nothing can stop me from taking my rightful place in this family. I am honored to take my place as Princess of Archadia as well as to get to know and support my people!" My voice came out clearer than I had ever imagined it to be. As soon as I stopped talking the crowed roared again. Vincent and Leon discreetly led me back into the hallway where I was able to take a breath.

"____, you did a wonderful job!" Aerith had a bright smile on her face.

"I feel like I'm gonna faint."

"Now, now, don't go doing that. We still have dinner to attend to." Leon smirked.

"B-but I haven't even had lunch yet..."

"Yes... I forgot that on Earth it is breakfast, lunch, and dinner."

"How could you forget that? It's not just breakfast and dinner here is it?" I was confused and maybe a little heartbroken. I mean not that I'm fat or anything, but I'm not one of those girls that has a bottle of water for lunch at school in fear of gaining weight... Or looking bad in front of guys, not like guys were ever interested in me on Earth anyways.
