Snapback backwards, always a trend I've hated
Pigtails dangling down to her chest
Clothes from a cheap store
Fifty cent chap stick

And yet, beauty is fortuitous.
Long blonde hair
Crystal blue eyes full of boredom
Faded freckles

Her hands are small
She often gets nervous so nails are crude and uneven
Soft, no work has ever been yielded from her
Yet the scar just under her thumb writes miles long

Lips that never smile
They never frown either
And once they do, they are hidden
Who taught you to hide yourself

Her freckles are constellations
I could trace them for hours
Her freckles are everywhere
Her freckles let me breathe

My head screams
I love you, I scream
But she would never care
Her love lies in a boy

It is unfair
Cold bites at my arms
If I were I boy
She might have loved me
