Finn's POV

After Colin clearly avoided Finn the last days, Finn was relieved to find some distraction in the first-time-in-jail-party Logan organized for Rory. While waiting to surprise Rory he stands next to Rosemary and Colin next to Juliet. Finn fears he will never get his best friendship ever back as it was before the magical night, but later at this evening everything seems as usual. He meets with the whole gang (Logan, Rory, Juliet, Rosemary and Colin) at the bar, telling overdrawn stories from previous adventures.

"My best sloth year, I believe, was sophomore year" Finn starts to brag dramatically as always. "I went to Spain for a week to immerse myself in Cervantes. Wound up staying for two months and almost joined the French foreign legion". While Finn's talking Colin stands next to him and seems relaxed again. Colin smiles as Finn speaks and Finn lightens up.

Rory interrupted smart-alecky "But you were in Spain."

Finn doesn't take her seriously, "Yes, but Sinatra didn't sing about the Spanish foreign legion."

Colin drinks a sip of his scotch and responds "Two months is nothing".

Finn feels himself challenged "Oh, so you think you can outdo me?" It's great to argue again with Colin like across the years. Finn still has feelings for Colin from the bottom of his heart, but he rather wants a friendship than nothing. The last days were rough for Finn. He couldn't talk to Colin, because Colin avoided him. Furthermore nobody knows of his crush, especially not Logan or the girls.

Colin claims "Freshman year - 4 ½ month cross country road trip" and underlines "this was "pre" navigational assistance, people."

Finn comes closer to Colin and recognizes nothing has changed. He tries to overbid Colin "Junior year, I dropped my things off at my dorm room, jumped on a plane to Australia, and surfed until Christmas."

Colin smiles knowing and declares "You did not."

Finn disagrees "I did."

Colin tries to make a point "Where was I?"

Finn taunts "In class, like a good little boy."

Rosemary takes a dig at the two boys "Amazing. They're actually having a loser-off."

Finn enjoys Rosemary's comment and like he learned in one of his psychology classes a collective enemy unites people and therefore Colin was on his page again. Colin teases Rosemary back in his snobbish voice "Oh, look how she mocks - the girl who stayed home for a month after she had a tragic haircut."

Finn succeeds following the remains of the conversation however all what really matters for him is that Colin acts like nothing ever happened. On the one sight he is extremely happy about having back his best mate, on the other side he will never taste the lips of Colin. Sometimes life gives you a chance, but karma is a bitch. The only opportunity to make out with Colin was killed and due to the behavior of Colin afterwards it was for the best. Finn swears to himself he will never retry it. Time to behave like on every party so far, Finn thinks, looks around and says "all right, time to make the rounds to see which one of these lovely females is soused enough to find my arrogance charming."

Rory notices something has changed in Finn's behavior and tries to find out "Finn, have you ever thought about just wooing a woman - flowers, chocolates, a little slow jam in the background?"

Finn states to Rory "slow jams are for the subtle, Rory. One too many has a delightful immediacy." He looks interrogative to Colin, who nodded as Finn declared his point of view and asks "You coming, Colin?"

Colin responds "absolutely" and goes with Finn.

Colin's POV

Colin enjoys the company of Finn at the party and makes the round with him. He wonders why he actually avoided Finn in the last days. Yes, something unusual happened at the day of Honor's engagement party, but what was it? Slowly but surely Colin finds out to himself, he feels like one of Finn's conquests. He would never admit it, but it hurts deep in his heart. Now he understands why Finn never talked about their nearly kiss. And tonight Finn is searching for his next conquest. Colin notices his growing anger and emotion of rejection. During making their rounds Colin stops and pushes Finn in the lumber-room. He spits "We need to talk."

Wide-eyed Finn answers insecure "Fair enough".

Colin leans forward and places his arms on both sites of Finn's shoulders. He's under stress and stares deep in anger. It's the first time ever he sees Finn lightly blushes. A sigh escapes Colin's lip. He comes rapidly closer and notices the hot breathe of his best friend on his face. "I am none of your stupid conquests" Colin rants. "You cannot thrust in every mouth in Yale without thinking of the consequences. I am supposed to be your best friend and should be more valuable than any of your one-night stands."

"You are" Finn whispers with a much accented voice and Colin reacts confused: what does this mean? Colin gets aroused due to the closeness and the lust filled eyes of Finn. His heart is loudly beating in his chest. Then there is no holding back. Colin presses Finn with strength against the wall. Still in the same position Finn moans and Colin enjoys the sound. Fired up Colin comes as close as possible with his whole body. He switches off his brain and satisfies his craving by kissing deep and lustful his best friend. Colin's whole body is tingling from the contact and demands more. A moan escapes Colin as recognizing the physical arousal of Finn and he allows him to take the lead. The kiss is passion-filled and wild. Finn pushes his arms around Colin's waist and both gets absolutely lost in their sexual appetite during their first kiss.
