New story. It will be slow going, as I am still planning and this year is important for me. But just read. Pls.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I woke up, strapped to a chair, confused. I feel fuzzy inside, like I ate some bad curry, but it felt like a power barrier. My mind latched onto the power like a hook, and pried it open. I opened my eyes for the first time and saw nothing but a small light in front of me. I feel that power bubbling, so I tried to open it like flipping a switch.
Suddenly my hands caught on fire.
I panicked and started flailing about. To my surprise, I heard gasps from both my left and my right. Then, lights illuminated my face. I was blinded by the harsh light so I shut my eyes and waited for the brightness to fade. As I opened them slowly, I saw a woman clad in a lab coat, hand on the switch which probably turned on the lights.
To my left, sits a girl clad in a long white blouse and slippers, with long black hair and exceptional facial features. I couldn't stop staring at her so I averted my eyes to my right, where a boy sits in the same attire except for him being barefoot. I was wearing the same. We were all sitting in a giant room. Not a room per se, more like a lab, with all sorts of computers and technology running their screensavers. (Who even uses those anymore?)
As the both of them stared at me, their hands start to emit elemental particles. The girl ice, the boy electric. However, the woman in the lab coat looked at us as if we weren't doing anything abnormal. "Well, how do you feel?" she asked. I was going to ask why I am tied here before the girl shouted, "Why the hell am I here? Why can't I remember anything before this? What happened to me?" "I understand you must be agitated as you are not able to recall any memories before this, am I right?" The woman said to me and the other boy.
I nodded and said, " We have tons of questions, so unstrap us first." She then pressed a button on the console attached to the giant computer in front of us. As our straps came undone, I flexed my wrist and let the blood circulate again before saying, " Now answer our questions." "Alright, first off, do you remember your names?" she asked. All three of us shook our heads. "Okay, I will start by telling you your names." She pointed at the boy and girl, saying, "Axel and Celestia." As she pointed at me and began to say my name, her head was jerked back with a hole in her forehead and a bullet which penetrated the wall behind her. She was dead before she hit the ground.
