My Past is Back

After a few weeks at school, the story of Hailey went around school. People kept asking me if I was her. I asked them if she had blue eyes or blonde hair. They all said no. Then a rumor started, saying I was Hailey. I could not believe what I was hearing. Finally the truth came out at lunch. "Hey, you are Hailey aren't you! I knew you were. Do not lie anymore we all know you are Hailey!" some guy shouted to me at lunch. I got so mad I just lost it, "Yes, I am Hailey! But everything it said about me is a total lie! They are just rumors! Her boyfriend kissed me that was it. I didn't even like him! He lied to her and she believed him! She started rumors about me and got me suspended!" I shouted. Great now everyone knows. At least they heard the truth. "I bet she is lying! Why else would she change her identity." another guy said.
I got up in tears, "I am not lying!" I ran out of the cafeteria. I ran all the way home, I didn't want to deal with drama today. Sadly my peace didn't last long. I got a text from Mackenzie saying, "why would you lie? Why would you change your identity if your innocent? I can't believe you." "I changed my identity because I thought that might prevent my past from following me. I am innocent I wanted to avoid this. All of it." I replied. "I don't know if I can believe you." she wouldn't say anything else after that. Why can't I escape all this drama?
I continued going to school. Everyone gave me dirty looks whenever someone saw me. I've been called so many names, my life is only going to go downhill at this point. No one believes me. Why do I have to be here?
