A young, blue skinned twi'lek sat perched in a silver barked tree. No more than ten years old, the silver eyed youngling sat gazing at the stars, imaging they gazed back. The growl of a Rancor caused her to look down, her eyes glowing with the reflection of the stars. The beast was prowling beneath the base of her tree, but the twi'lek didn't run, she closed her eyes and stretched a hand down to it. It stopped growling and pacing and looked up at her, with a thought she sent it away.
Opening her eyes again she looked back at the stars, the younglings mother had taught her about the force, about the Jedi order and of the Sith Lords past and present, before she disappeared, just like her father before her, leaving the blue skinned silver eyed Kira to fend for her self on Felucia. She had mourned, of course she had, but her parents were no more than fantasy to her now.
With a sigh young Kira climbed down from the tree. When she reached the bottom she parted the vines that covered the cave of roots were she slept and sheltered when the weather was bad. Climbing inside, she pulled her self woven moss blanket tightly around her. Looking around her home briefly she curled up and dreamed of the stars, stars that when you gazed at them, they gazed back.
