Finally Seeing The Truth

As I waited on the wings of the studio stage, my heart was beating one hundred miles per hour. Even though I was used to be followed around by the press now, it wasn't like I was completely on the spot. But as I glanced at the excited host getting her mic checked, and about one hundred fans in the audience murmuring with raising expectations.

What if I didn't want to answer one of the questions? What if all of the audience started booing me? Even though Harry would eventually be joining me, the said I would have at least a good eight minutes, one on one.

I looked over to my right, and giving me thumbs up and a big smile was Harry. I couldn't tell if he was nervous or just plain happy. At least I knew he wasn't scared. That morning, we sat Liam and the boys down and told them about us. We also explained that we wouldn't publisize our relationship for a good two months. Well, that was Liam's idea, but we both agreed.

I tried to give him a smile, but all that came out was a pathetic grimace. The stage manager gave me a pat and signalled I was to go on as soon as the host called my name.

The show suddenly started, and I watched as the host explained everything that had been going on the past two weeks. My heart dropped as I heard my name. I took a deep gulp and began to walk into the bright stage lights and over to the interviewing couch.

"Welcome! Welcome!" The host greeted. I heard cheer from the audience, but then I also heard some boos.

"Hello." I said nervously.

"Now, I bet you are already aware that you have become one of the most talked about girls in the news for the past month?" She gave me a nice smile. As if she were louring me in, just to be torn appart later.

"Unfortunatly, yes I am aware." I replied to the simple question. Maybe this wasn't going to be as bad as I had thought! She asked me a few other easy questions, not really having to do with Harry. But then, as if she were a lion on the hunt, she sprang me a really hard direct question.

"So, are you and Harry going out? The whole world wants to know!" I giggled a bit, clearly a sign of panic. I looked to the wings of the stage, Harry stood there watching me intently as he was being mic'd. He shook his head.

"Ummm, I really don't think I should be answering that question alone."  I spit out, practically inviting Harry on stage. The host gave me a snide look, then turned to the camera.

"Well, you heard her! But, what you probably didn't expect, is that Olivia brought someone special along, just to help her!" She declared. Harry began walking on stage. The crowd erupted into shrieks. They odviously had no idea he was coming. He gave a few waves and then sat down beside me.

"What will we say?" I whispered to him as the crowd continued to freak out.

"I'll make somthing up." He said with a devious grin. One that worried me very much.

As I was about to say something back, the host spoke again.

"Welcome Harry! I'm glad you can join the converstaion!" She smiled at him. "Now Olivia, are you ready now?"

"Yes." I replied slowly. "Harry and I are not dating. All of this has been blown completely out of porportion." I heard another round of cheers come from the audience. The host gave me a disapointed look. I was about to speak again, until it hit me.

I felt Harry's lips on mine, he was completely smothering me. It felt just like it did in my dream, but a thousand times better. I ignored the crowd shrieking and gasping in horror, and even the host yelling in confusion. He eventually pulled away, leaving me breathless, and him with a ginormous grin. The host sat there in shock. No one had seen that coming.

"I think that would be the correct answer to your question." Harry beamed. I was to happy to be emmbarresed, and to dazed to realize the furious fans screaming and booing at me.

"Yes, I think it would."

And just like that, I realized what a great guy Harry really was. And how I didn't care what everyone else thought. He then whispered slowly in my ear.

"Its gotta be you."
