Realising I Love Her

Since I've gotten here this morning all I've done is sit with my dad and look through pictures of men in an terrorist group that are all after the president because he got their leader locked up. There is only one group of 25 men and we already dealt with 3. Another situation is that there have been some geographical problems. Sigh, and to top it off Skyler is ignoring me.

"Okay we have like an hour break." My dad said. I looked up from him and walked out as I started to think about Skyler.

"Sky!" I saw her down the hall and called after her, but she started to walk faster.
"Skyler can we please talk! Please! "
"What do we have to talk about?"
She finally  slowed down.
"Why are you ignoring me?"
"Who said I was?" And she started to walk off again, so I followed behind her.
"Skyler I called you like a hundred times, why didn't you just pick up?"
"I was busy."
"Doing what?"
"Stuff. "
"That's a stupid excuse, look if you want to break us off then just say so." With that I walked away but she grabbed my arm.
"Eric! I'm sorry, I don't want us to break up, I just want you to be sure of how you feel towards me."
"I know that Skyler! But you've been a brat all morning. It's not like I forgot about you!"
"Sigh, I'm sorry."
"You don't have to say you're sorry, it's my fault for not knowing if it's like or love. I'm an idiot."
"You're not Eric, it was my fault. Look I'll  stop being a brat but I'm stubborn so you still can't touch me okay, or kiss me." She said with a smile and kissed my cheek.
"I can't touch you or kiss you but you can kiss me?"
"It's a one time thing, relax. I still want to know how you feel so I'm giving you time, later."
"Sigh, fine Skyler."

I watched that beautiful figure and features walk away from me as I think about how stupid and confused about my feelings I am.

"Hey son you okay? Why are you sitting out here on the floor?"
"Dad you think Skyler is right?"
"About what?"
"Dad she grew up talking to you, I know she told you what's up."
"Fine, yes I think she's right. Look, she's never felt like this before and she just wants to make sure that you both feel the exact same way before you guys get very serious."
"And how do you know that?"
"Because she told me." He smiled.
"I've never felt this before too, all I think about is her and I would do anything to keep her safe, but I didn't want to believe it's love because it happened so quick."
"Obviously it's the first you've loved, you stupid stupid boy."
"Dad... haha it's not funny, I love her. I can't stay away from her."

I was so surprised at myself but I couldn't deny it anymore.

"Glad I could help, now let's go we have a mission."
"You guys found where those men are staying?"
"Yeah, that's why I came out here."
"May I just tell Skyler first."
"Wow, young love. You know I remember when your mother and i were young."
"Ehh stop dad, TMI!"
"Ugh whatever, go tell Skyler bye."

"Hey Sky, I'm leaving to go do some work, thought you just might have wanted to know."
"What kind of work?"
"We found where the terrorists are staying and we're heading over there."
"Eric that's dangerous, why do you have to go!?"
"Skyler chill, I'm use to it, seriously it's fine."
"Eric it's not fine, you can get hurt!"
"Skyler we're not having this right now."
"Yes we are!"
"No we're not! Just calm down, I'll see you later."
"You know what! Fine! Since you won't listen to me."
She stormed out the room but I went after her.
"Skyler, I have to."
"No you don't, but forget it."
"Sky!"

"Son she'll be fine, we have to go."
"Sigh, dad she needs to understand."
"Not right now, let's go."

All I could do was take one more glimpse at her and turn away. I was only doing this because my dad taught me the necessary skills I needed and because we're trying to protect the president. All in all, I just want to help dad and make him proud. I also get to protect Skyler which is great.

"Eric! Eric!" I finally heard my dad shout out to me.
"Yeah dad! Sorry."
"You sure you okay son?"
"I'm fine."
"Sigh, okay, stay close, we're going in. Do not hesitate to kill."

I nodded and we along with some other men made our way in the huge building. It was quiet, almost too quiet, as if they knew we were coming.
"Dad this doesn't feel right. "
As soon as I said that, men came out and started shooting at us. I grabbed my dad and we ducked behind the wall for shield. One if the men saw us and shot at almost shot at us, but I shot him in the head.
"Dad we need to go, we need to find their leader."
"I'm behind you, just go."
I took off up the stairs and saw an empty room. I could see where their leader was from where I was.  He looked at me and signaled for men to come our way.
"Dad their coming, brace yourself."
I stood behind the wall and jumped at one of them by surprise. He tackled me to the floor. He tried to choke me so I held his hand and shot 2 bullets in it. I then shot him in the chest. The other man held on to my dad and had him up against the wall. I didn't hesitate to kill this son of a bitch.
"Dad come on, we have to get him before he leaves."
Another man jumped out and had me over the railing. I kicked him to the wall then stood facing him, daring him to hit me so I could get out the way and push him over, and he did just that. He was a dead man now. We continued up the stairs and before I realised it, two men had my dad and I. A soldier came in to help us but they shot him.
"So you are the president's little body guards, how nice." He laughed.
"So you're Bonadio, I expected someone better looking."
He slapped me.
"Sooo I'm planning on killing the president, then the wife and maybe I should rape that pretty little daughter of theirs."
"You won't dare fucking touch her!"
I shouted, I was boiling now.
"So you have a little crush huh. I'm sure she'll love when I bend her over and slide in that wet..."
"Man fuck you and your fucking men, I'm going to fucking kill you!!"
He slapped me again and I spit in his face.
"So your boy doesn't have respect for high authority?"
He punched me in the stomach and all I wanted to do now was to rip his insides out. I flung my head back and the man holding me fell to the ground. I swiftly pulled out the knife from the man holding dad pocket and stabbed him in the neck.
"I'm going to fucking kill you!"
I made my way over to Bonadio and kicked him to the ground. Little did I know, I kicked him beside a gun and he shot me. I fell to my knees but managed to grab a knife from the ground and throw it in his chest. I got up slowly and took the gun, I shot him 10 times in the head. My dad held me as I felt a sharp pain in my chest.
"Some got away!" One if the men that were with us said and we made our way downstairs so I could get to the car and get medical assistance.

"Eric stay with me!" I heard my dad about and looked up through foggy eyes. When I opened up my eyes I saw my dad and three doctors rushing me down a hall and I glimpsed Skyler.

"Eric!" I heard her scream as my dad held on to her. Everthing went black and I was off.

6 hours later:
I opened my eyes to see Skyler beside me.
"He's awake!"
"Hey Sky."
"I thought you were gone Eric."
She's been crying, I can see it. Her eyes are red.
"I feel fine Sky."
"Eric you are not fine, you got shot in the chest."
"Skyler chill, it's nothing."
"This is what you click nothing Eric?"
"Sky I'm not arguing with you right now."
"I'm sorry." She held her head down.
"Hey, I'll be fine okay, I promise."
"Okay." She hugged my waist and lay there for a bit.

"Skyler may I speak with Eric?"
She got up and left the room.
"Thank you Eric, for risking your life to make sure that mine will be okay. I can't believe your dad allowed you to."
"Well sir, I respect you and your family, and I was going to go to military school by my dad said if I was going yo do what I love doing, then I'm doing it next to him."
"Young man, I respect you."
"Thank you sir." He smiled and shook my hand.

"Hey son you okay?"
"Yeah dad I'm good."
"Sigh, you're just like your old man, just better."
"Heck yah." We both laughed.
"Don't get cocky." He said seriously but punched me.
"Dad I love you okay."
"You need to tell Skyler that, but I love you too."

He was right, she needed to know how I felt about her. I just don't know how to tell her. Sigh, I guess it will happen when it's the right time.
