The Radio Show (Phan)

*Dans Pov* 

Today was the day that I was waiting for. I was sitting in the office with 10 other guys all looking to get the same job. What job? you may be wondering well a radio presenter I had got the call from the BBC a few weeks ago about doing an interview for a request show. I was quite suprized by the call but hey, do you hear me complaining?

I looked around the vast room crowded with anxious people. I was the youngest there. 

''I have no chance'' I thought to myself 

''Daniel Howell'' The secetary said 

I stood up and walked into the office.There was three men and a woman sitting around a table staring at me as I walked in. I suddenly felt really nervous, like my stomach was being stood on by an elephant, and just any minute now I could get sick.. yup. Probably all over there nice, expensive tables too.

''Hello'' I said politely

''Nice to meet you'' The woman said shaking my hand 

''We hear you were recommended by the head of the BBC for this job because of your youtube videos is that right'' She asked 

''I think so'' I replied nervously.

''What would you bring to radio 1 how could you improve it'? One of the men asked getting straight into the interview

''I think I could incorporate alot of my video ideas into the show, and having a quaint little fandom might bring more listeners to the show for, stuff like better ratings I guess..'' I said not trying to sound cocky.

''You do understand this is not your youtube videos this is a live radio show aired through almost the entire country.'' He said

''Yes I do understand'' I replied 

''I think I could do this job very well if you gave me a chance'' I said trying to sound as nice as I possibly could

''Where do you live'' He asked

''Right now i'm in uni in manchester'' I said 

''What are you studying there'' He asked 

''Law'' I said 

''Another person who lives in manchester is in the waiting room can you go and call Philip Lester'' He said to the secretary

A few minutes later a guy walked in he was wearing a plaid shirt and he had a ''emo fringe'' as some people liked to call it. Also sorta like a black Justin Bieber fringe, those thingys.

''Hello'' He said in an northern accent 

''Hi'' I said shaking his hand

''I'm Phil'' He said 

''Dan.'' I replied

''We called you back in here because you both live in manchester and we want to see if you work well together'' The guy interupted and looked at Phil 

''Read this sheet for us'' He said handing us a sheet of paper

''Daniel you can start'' He said 

''Hello and welcome to the Request show with [insert names] oh sh- I mean with Dan and Phil'' I said

''The request show is all about you for the next two hours you request the music'' Phil read the next line

''Okay thank you'' the guy said 

''You can both go outside'' He said 

We walked out together and sat back down, it was silent for awhile but Phil decided it was time to break that silence.

''Where do you live in manchester''? Phil asked 

''Oh I just started Uni'' I said 

''I'm finishing this year'' He replied 

''They told me I was recommened to them because I make youtube videos'' He said 

''Really.. thats a coincedince'' I said giving him a weird look.

Phil seemed strangely familiar, I think I seen him on youtube before.. i'm not sure..

''What's your username'' He asked

''DanIsNotOnFire what about you'' I said

''that name sounds familiar'' He said 

''I watched a few of your videos there pretty good oh and mines AmazingPhil'' He added

AH! I knew I seen a few videos of his, ''I watch yours too'' I replied

the woman from earlier had  called us back in and we reluctantly followed her heading into the dimly lit office.

''We have decided to give you two a try and see if it works'' She said 

"You both already seem to be comphortable on camera so radio should be even easier for you both." The other man added.

I looked at Phil. We were shocked phil turned to me and hugged me. I found myself being strangly attracted to him. I felt these little tingles when he hugged me, like there were sparks. I wonder if its just me?

Sigh. Nevermind.. good looking guys like him are usually straight. Thats actually one of my secrets.. I havent told anyone I was gay, nah too much judgment and the whole fanbase would turn against me.. 

Thats something that I never want to happen..
