Pulling my boots on, I grabbed my bag and headed to the small café down the road.

It doesn't look like much, but this café got busy at rush hour, I should know I once had to run home during my break to swap my shoes from heels to flats.

The bell dinged to announce my arrival. Ted stood behind the counter and smiled at me while I walked to the door to the staff room.

Once in the room I put my bag and jacket in my locker bit and looked to see who I was working with today. The time table had a new name on. And his first shift was with me today.

Great, I'll be showing the new guy how everything works. Just what I need in life.
