Part 21

The whole chapter is in Yoongi's POV.

"I'm sorry."

You shake your head in disbelief as how hold y/n's hand tighter than ever.

"We can't guarantee their survival at this time. Y/n has a chance but the baby... not so much. Her body temperature dropped so low, so quick, that y/n went into a shock and it may have quickly affected them both. We will try our best but sometimes our best isn't enough."

You bring your attention back to y/n. You kiss her cheek followed by her stomach. "I'm so sorry this has happened. I'm so sorry." You say letting the tears flow down your face.

You arrive at the near by hospital and get rushed inside. The doctors and nurses crowd around y/n to examine and help her, leaving you waiting in the corridor to collect your thoughts.

1/2 an hour passes and directors continue to pass in and out with different notes and faces making it hard to read what's going on.

"Min Yoongi?" A doctor calls from the door of y/n's room.

"Yes."

"We have found a heart beat for the baby. It's slightly abnormal but it's nothing to be afraid of at the moment. Y/n on the other hand is in a coma. The baby will still get all the nourishment even though y/n is not awake so do not worry on that front. If you wish to, you may see her now."

Walking inside gives you a shot of pain through your heart, seeing y/n lead on the bed like she is. Cold. Pale.

"Hi babe. You probably can't hear me but on the off chance you can, I wanted you to know how sorry I am. I should have run faster to get you." You pause for a second to collect your thoughts and dry your wet eyes. "In case you don't know, the baby is okay and I'm sure you will be as well. No. I promise you will be as well, you just need to open your eyes and show that your awake. Please open your eyes for me. Your eyes are so beautiful that when I look into them, it reminds me why I feel in love with you and why I always will love you. Please... wake up soon. I need you."

Your tears fall from your eyes. You kiss y/n's hand over and over. Her face has an oxygen mask and her arms have many needles and wires attached to them.

As the night progresses a few doctors come in and review how she's doing but leave very quickly without communicating or giving you any information on what's happening all you have been told is that she is stable and the chance of survival has risen to above 95% again.

As your curiosity and boredom take over, you notice a small machine in the corner of the room taking note of the baby's heartbeat and how frequent it is. You smile at the little lines as they bump up and down, the long price of paper eventually touching the floor.

"Y/n I'm going to call the boys and tell them your okay for now. I'll be back soon. I love you." You say as you kiss her hand and walk to the door.

You take out your phone and turn it on.

Hyung.. I'm so sorry I wasn't thinking when I said that. Please call one of us and tell us she's okay. I'm sorry. Please forgive me..

You sigh as you unlock your phone and ring Jin.

"FINALLY... is she okay. Please Yoongi. Tell us she's okay."

"The baby is okay and well but y/n is in a coma. Her heart beat has stabilised and her temperature is a bit warmer now but we just have to wait."

"Yoongi... your voice is shaking... how much have you cried?"

"I just... she's been through a lot and this was meant to be a happy day for us all. We were going to tell you about the baby at dinner. While we were getting ready y/n felt the baby kick for the first time and it made us both so happy but now look at her... I should have run after her faster... I could have caught up to her... this is all my fault." You say letting the tears fall from your eyes once again.

All of a sudden the phone line cuts off and you feel a large pain of arms around you. You look up to see Jin sitting next to you.

"When did you get here?" You say wiping you tears and leaning into his shoulder for comfort.

"Long enough to see you suffering alone." He says simply. You feel so warm and safe around Jin just like you would with you mother as a child.

You stand you and walk to the door of y/n's hospital room, opening the door slowly. "Please come in." You say to Jin as he stands and walks behind you.

Jin walks to y/n and holds her hand.
"How are you y/n. Congratulations on the little one. I honestly don't know how I never figured it out.." Jin pauses with a light chuckle, his thumb stroking your hand. "Please.. open your eyes. I know you can hear me and I know your trying your hardest to move but we miss you."

You sit on the chair watching Jin talk to y/n. Your heart hurts seeing her lead in a hospital bed like she is.

All of a sudden you feel Jin out his hand on your shoulder. "Stop blaming yourself Yoongi." Jin says in a deep comforting voice. You don't let words reply, you simply nod your head and rest it in his arms as he pulls you in close to his chest.

Eventually Jin leaves to tell the guys how y/n is doing and you stay at the hospital, waiting for her to wake up.

"I'm not going to rush you to open your eyes, take your time. Remember, I'll be here when you do decide to wake up though. That I can promise." You say, next to the still and pale girl that you love so dearly.
