Chapter 3

I flopped on my bed. I stared up at the black ceiling.

Today was the most magical day ever,I smiled to myself. Today was a magical day. Brian and I spent hours and hours talking to each other. We even practiced the 'Break Up Plan' together. He kept messing things up.

''I can't concentrate because you're not Roxie. And anyway,you're just too beautiful'' He said. I blushed crimson.

''Best day ever!" I squealed,jumping a little in bed.

I kept playing what happened today,over and over again,until it became fake.

''Good night girls'' Sister Faith said,closing the door. The room went black in a blink of an eye.

I closed my eyes,dreaming of Brian...

I heard girls screaming and laughing. I rubbed my eyes. I yawned. ''Brian'' I gasped. I got my toothbrush. I ran to the girls' bathroom.

In the bathroom,Winnie was combing her brown,short,curly hair. She turned round. ''Can't you not see I'm in here'' She snapped,closing the door. I sighed.

Why is Winnie so mean. Like Roxie?,I asked myself,as I knock on the door. ''Wait!" Winnie shouted. ''Idiot'' She said,really loud. I couldn't take it anymore. Winnie was getting on my nerves.

I pushed opened the door,hitting Winnie,by accident. ''Ow,what was that for?" She shouted. ''Why are you so mean?" I shouted back. ''That's because you're mean''.

"What do you mean. I'm nice to you?".

We started shouting at each other. We even started pushing each other. ''Girls!" Sister Faith gasped,pushing us apart. ''What is all this?" She asked. ''She called me an idiot-''

''No you pushed the door on me-''

''No you shouted at me-''

''Girls!" Sister Faith shouted. Winnie and I both stopped arguing. "This is an orphanage, not a wrestling ring'' Sister Faith said,looking at me.

''You two will clean the kitchen and the nursery room,from top to bottom after break feast'' She said. Winnie sighed,her face red with anger. ''Understood?''.

''Understood'' We both mumbled. ''Now,Winnie,get out and Fiona brush your teeth'' Sister Faith sighed. Winnie passed me,giving me a push. ''Winnie Quinn!" Sister Faith shouted. She closed the door,and I could hear Winnie screaming and crying.

I looked in the key whole. Sister Faith was smacking Winnie. I gasped.

''Now get out. You're not coming to the field trip tomorrow'' She shouted,as Winnie cried and cried.

I felt so guilty. Winnie was really excited about the field trip. I sighed.

''Mum,Dad,I really miss you...''
